I have rolled my eyes as plenty of posters have said maybe it would be better to stabilize this year and go up next. As if such a thing were possible. The consequences of not getting promoted would be terrible and that seems the only priority here. Bring someone in who has a track record of promotions out of League One. It's easier to stabilize and retain players in the Championship, with much higher revenues. The thinking will be that the style of football does not matter a jot so long as we go up. David Clowes put a lot money into saving the club but we have all known he doesn't have a bottomless pit to fund us. This seems pretty pragmatic.
