He's posted on their forum 21 times! Haven't they suffered enough this season?!?

If I was to present the mood of the Shrews forum at the prospect of tonight's game in GIF form, it would probably go something like this :-

I've only seen Derby win 26 games in a season once in nearly 60 years of supporting them, so I ain't gonna complain about how they did it this time.

Dave Mackay's championship season we lost 3-0 at Carlisle who eventually finished bottom. Clough's Derby team were top of the league in September 1969 and subsequently lost away at Sheffield Wednesday, who were bottom. Football has always been inexplicable at times.

If his best days weren't passed, he wouldn't have been dropping down to L1 level, though I gather other Championship clubs were 'interested' in signing him. But you only have to go back to the Sonny Bradley thread on the transfer forum - there were very few dissenters about his signing. National League to PL on a tight budget? Who doesn't think that's 'great'?!? 🙂

Derby should have sacked Davies, but not for being an inappropriate manager for the PL, but because he was a sh*t-stirrer who only cared about himself. I'd rather not be one of those clubs who sacks a manager who's brought them success simply because they think there are "better options out there" (see Birmingham City 2016-2024).

I don't think I'd be dropping Korey Smith anytime soon. He's playing the most effective football of his Derby career. I'd stick with Saturday's line-up, safe in the knowledge that we have potential game changers on the bench.

When you farm out a 28 year old on loan, it's a signal that you don't rate him (as indeed most Cardiff fans don't seem to). If Cardiff put too high a fee on him, they'll get nothing, because most, Championship teams won't have much money to spend either and those with money will be looking higher I think.
