  1. I know it’s probably blasphemy… but some of these ‘funny’ anecdotes about Clough just make him sound like a nob.
  2. Kaide has an appearance for us! Didn’t stop them!
  3. Peterborough will have played 64 games this season if they win the play-offs. f*** City and f*** their treble.
  4. If we get promoted automatically we’ll have played 54 games this season. Arsenal can only play 52.
  5. I can’t tell if he’s struggling with that hamstring or if he’s trying too hard. Maybe both. What was he doing when he just needed to knock it down the right-wing and cross but instead cut inside and shot on his weak foot? The attempted diagonal that went behind Wilson and gave them a throw? He’s not beating players either.
  6. Conversely… another the fans decided they didn’t like with very little reason then moaned when he gave it back* *See Chris Baird, Cyrus Christie etcetera
  7. Van Der Laan winner in ‘96, Oakley Man of the match in ‘07. Gotta be Hourihane with one final magic swish of his left foot, surely? His legs have gone but he’s still a genius in the final third.
  8. My account wasn’t made early enough… let me know please if you DID make yours early enough 😂
  9. God knows how, but dodgy Chinese websites have had them on sale for a while 😂
  10. Usually watch ‘Eanor or Ilson. Occasionally Kimberley. Recently though, my mates started scouting for York so I’ve been with him to Matlock and Buxton.
  11. There’s going to have to be a compromise somewhere. Someone unfashionable like Henderson plays. You take a risk on TAA (if he’ll even be fit). You risk Foden, Bellingham and Rice but you tell the latter two to play to a role. Back three, midfield two of Bellingham and Rice and you tell the former to play to a role. The nuclear option would be Stones in midfield and a leave a vulnerable back two.
  12. Now Rice has been let off the leash and started driving forward I don’t think we even have Rice himself anymore!
  13. *tin helmet on* He’s provided midfield balance but would be a squad player if we were promoted
  14. First club got me because he made his name at Pompey

Didn’t it transpire as well that had other clubs been aware of his availability they’ve have gone in for him and happily paid more? Were we THAT desperate for a quick £30k? Were the administrators that incompetent that they didn’t think to drum up a bidding war?
  16. How’s a winger who’s set one up and created a missed sitter only getting a 6?!
  17. Something I took away from that… because of all the s*** going off, we did NOTHING to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the first First Division win
  18. I always thought the story went that Earnshaw was a ‘gift’ for Billy because we couldn’t afford Nugent or Kenwyne Jones. Because there was that weird rumour mid-August that we were going to sell Howard and Earnshaw to afford Nugent.
  19. Jewell just went a bit weird and wanted rid of all of Billy’s players. Like, what the hell were we doing getting rid of David Jones?! And then to top it off, of the players he couldn’t get rid of they ended up fighting their way back into the team anyway! Were any of his replacements better? Hulse sort of replaced Howard and was arguably better but other than that…
  20. Nah, he loves it against his former teams Surprised he didn’t give us a bit earlier this season
  21. Was it gutlessness or just human nature? It got to the stage where nobody wanted the ball.
  22. Cambridge is gonna be a nightmare, innit? Already considering setting up an account there and buying tickets to their cheapest game just to make it look legit
  23. Never paid enough attention to notice before but… have there always been two tosses for penalties? It just feels like that if one team won both, as Newcastle did last night, they’re getting a HUGE advantage in the shootout? Wouldn’t it be fairer, that the team who win the toss get to choose end or order and the toss loser decide the other?
  24. Adams has provided much needed midfield steel… but he ain’t it. Just not good enough on the ball.
