We've been rotating the 3.

Man United: Roos, Marshall
Salford: Marshall, Allsop
Betis: Roos, Allsop

Allsop will be 3rd choice keeper this season once we're finally allowed to make more than 4/5 signings.

3rd choice gk ? Are we able to carry that luxury with the lack of outfield players currently?

and more to the point … if he’s 3rd choice to those two how bloody bad is he which would beg the question what’s the point lol

I think you may need to take the level of opposition into account. If we throw people forward they will just counter and score at a canter.

I think everyone is petrified of the ball. Ravel, Tom and Aluko simply aren’t in this game. Carroll offering nothing that Bird couldn’t do (which is nothing), Baldock lighter than a paper aeroplane. We only have Shinnie...

Carroll showing real willingness to get on the ball and nit the play between defence and midfield, something we have been sorely lacking at times. Baldock doesnt look like he would score if we played all week, this area really needs looking at. Not sure who else is available as a freebie in the ST position?

What’s alarming is that Betis are spraying the ball out wide every opportunity they get because Byrne and Buchanan are so far forward. They’ve got behind us so many times, especially on Buchanan’s side.

We can all see it, the commentators keep mentioning it, so what’s Wayne and the Harem of coaching staff done about it, absolutely nowt.

Done well so far against a good team. They've come at us and the defence has stood their ground and dealt with most of it well.

Good stop by Roos when they did get through. Forsyth has looked pretty composed in pre-season. Jagielka does his job.

Aluko and Byrne getting a bit of an understanding and a couple of overlaps. Aluko cutting in to provide an outlet, but helping defensively too.

Morrison looking lively, skillful and getting sharper. Also able to stick his boot in when needed, which I didn't expect when he signed.

Lawrence getting back and forward trying to be involved, but some sloppy passes (not the only one)

Buchanan having a solid game against quality players

Baldock lively and dragging players around, think he offers something different up front.

Shinnie getting stuck in, Carroll looking like he's behind the others in terms of fitness/sharpness .

Quietly impressed by Tom Carroll. Shinnie is doing Shinnie things and Morrison’s quality is there to see.

Can see Aluko and Baldock are without clubs, though. Cannot help but feel like this current squad would struggle in league one, let alone next seasons Championship.

If we can’t sort out our situation in the transfer market, the question of whether Rooney is or isn’t a good manager will be completely pointless.
