They’ve brought in clattenburg for one reason and one reason only to undermine officials. Forget FFP (where they also broke the rules and admitted to breaking the rules) they should be deducted points for this. They deserve to go down and there will be a lot of football fans without black and white blinkers that now hope they do. If Carragher thinks it doesn’t matter what club an official supports I hope Liverpool have a known Man United fan reffing their game every week for a decade. We shouldn’t have to put out a statement like that but we’ve been screwed over almost weekly for a year now and it’s a disgrace. More of the ‘small teams’ should tell the FA and PL what they think of the blatant bias being shown to certain teams. You can’t accuse officials of cheating and get away without punishment - and as the tweet has been put out by the club (rather than an official) it’s only right that the club are punished as a whole….
