Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.

You tell em Ian Herbert

But Forest’s preposterous and disgraceful outburst — ‘like a fan in a pub, embarrassing’, as Jamie Carragher observed — took them into the sewers of the game, flying in the face of the professionalism we would expect of any club.

The directive from those at the top of Forest that a tweet be sent, stating they had warned that VAR official Stuart Attwell was ‘a Luton fan’, comes a month after owner Evangelos Marinakas brought the club into disrepute by tearing down the tunnel after referee Paul Tierney following a late defeat by Liverpool. Football rages and seethes against perceived injustice every day, but Sunday was unprecedented. Who the hell do these people think they are?

Would someone care to point out that six players have been sent off against Forest in the Premier League this season, two more than any other club?

And that a number even more relevant to their dangerous league position is the lunatic £300million they spent on 43 players across three transfer windows after getting promoted — to no material effect.

That put them in breach of spending rules and rightly docked four points. They’re claiming that’s wrong too, of course.

From the BBCs Simon Stone.

BBC Sport has been told Nottingham Forest made contact with PGMOL on Friday to highlight the potential for Nuno Espirito Santo being asked about Stuart Attwell’s appointment in his weekly press conference that afternoon.

As it turned out, the subject was not raised in the press conference.

It is being stressed that at no point were PGMOL asked to change the appointment or that Forest had an issue with Attwell’s involvement in the game.

From the original Forest tweet.

We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him.

Looks like they never even enquired about Attwell being dropped! …..🤡🤡

I used to respect John Percy, but he's embarrassing himself here. Of course Derby fans are enjoying all this - we're rivals. But Forest's antics have been condemned and mocked across the board. They've made themselves an object of mockery and/or abuse by more than Derby fans.

So "we warned" but did not request a change sounds like some sort of threat that if they're not happy with the decisions.....it's also sounding pretty damn flimsy if forest think anything beneficial to them is going to come from this. Semantics to imply something improper on behalf of the pgmol.

It's all making the case the prem in general would be delighted to see them relegated.

They ought to wait until they've had a goalkeeper sent off for chesting the ball outside the penalty area and had a match winning penalty given against them for a foul that took place outside of the area in the same game before deciding that the world is corrupt.

I initially thought (before seeing replays later) that that bamford Bamford (before he was a bamford) dived in the deforestation game.

I'd let them have that one back if it wasn't for the fact it would take Bryso's hat-trick away... and 5-0 has a certain ring to it... and meh, feckham anyway!

Taking that to update the topic title as again. Could be the longest topic ever by the end of the season.

Before the game there was only one point difference between them and Everton, so even if Attwell was a Luton fan then why didn’t Everton raise concerns as well…….whinging Treetards 🤣

What I don't get is, all their fans crying that there's a conspiracy against them.  Like if these decisions went their way they'd be pulling a Leicester and blowing the fabled Top 6 out the water.  Even if they'd gotten half of the 'supposedly' dodgy calls in their favour, they'd still be sh!t, just sh!t with a few more points.  But instead of pointing the finger at the fat bar-steward of a chairman, dross players or the crappy recruitment team, they're deflecting.  They should face up to the fact that they've blown close to £300 million to go backwards, instead of believing that the EPL are scared of them becoming the next Premier League powerhouse, and somehow sticking it to the elite  It's not the 70's anymore...

The club seem very worried about going down. Surely, with all their huge spending they've factored in the impact of a relegation, right?

Obviously, no one wants to go down, but a bit of yo-yoing could be expected for a club like Forest, on their journey to becoming (at least) an established Premier League club?

I guess they were unable to stay within the rules for spending though, hence the points deduction. For their sake, I hope all this spending hasn't left the club/owner in financial ruin if the mighty Forest were somehow, unbelivably, and of course unfairly, relegated!
