Separate pot or on the far side of my plate sectioned off from other food.  I don't mind beans, quite enjoy them tbh but even the best beans are a bit too watery for my liking and no one likes a soggy chip!

In the casserole.

I made a sausage casserole and stoemp (Belgian mashed potatoes) tonight - blooming awesome and dirt cheap.

• 400g  sliced pork and leek sausage
• 200g chestnut mushrooms
• 1 sliced onion
• 1 tin baked beans
• 300g potatoes
• 1 leek, washed and sliced
• 1 carrot, diced
• 1 dessert spoon garlic paste
• 1 dessert spoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
• Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
• pinch of oregano
• 20g butter
• 20g double cream

Casserole recipe

• Fry onion in 10 g of butter
• Add mushroom, continue frying for 2 minutes
• Add sausage and garlic, continue frying for 5 minutes
• Add Worcestershire Sauce, Paprika, Oregano
• Add baked beans
• Stir well
• Transfer to casserole dish

Stoemp recipe

• Steam potatoes, carrots and leek.
• Mash potatoes with 10g butter, double cream and Dijon mustard
• Fold in carrots and leek

Cook casserole in medium oven (Gas mark 5) for 45 minutes

Microwave Stoemp

Serve accompanied with bottle of St Bernardus Abt 12 (the beer probably cost more than the rest of the dinner)

I pretty much like all food, but haven't got any interest in baked beans. Really bland. Tinned tomato soup is another one. 

I'm also not bothered too much by food that doesn't look too appetising. But that watery bean juice ruins any meal.

Is there a worse sight than a lovley cooked breakfast being ruined by baked beans.

Beans do not belong on a breakfast. 

Beans belong on toast.

Tinned tomatoes with a fry up. Acidity complements the pork fat beautifully.

A few on the plate then add the rest.  Better to sit it on the toast so it won't go everywhere.

I suppose this half in/half out cover all bases scenario means I should be Lib Dem.

They’re useful to keep in the cupboard for those times when you need something quick to eat but they don’t belong in anything described as a meal other, Eddie, than in a casserole.

 Chippy chips with beans on top, with loads of vinegar and salt is ace.

On toast, I prefer beans n sausages. 

On a breakfast then I happy to let them loose, but posh enough to appreciate a pot.

Not too bothered. If it's at home, just straight on a plate. Two things that do annoy me when you're out for a cooked breakfast is if they're cold which is quite common or if there's inexplicable greenery placed upon said breakfast.

Post op, never being able to eat baked beans again was no loss for me. Never really liked them
