Boro (A) Match Thread

Been our own worst enemy all game

Bird wasting crossing chance after chance

Thompson unable to do the basics

Byrne and Knight been grafting and getting on the ball but ultimately they've only dropped it off to the nearest teammate over and over

Nobody believes Plange will win anything in the box and simply only use him to stretch play. As a striker he has zero service.

Constant careless play and often not under pressure.

Of all the complaints about the referee, we just kill ourselves with really poor simple execution

Byrne can dance through 5 players but still not do anything vaguely threatening. Bird can play out of impossible gaps but can't put a decent ball in the area when given so hour to set himself.

Thompson's mistakes were all basic too. A simple ball out to Lawrence and then smashing it at Bird from 5m away.

It's like we turn up to battle to the death, to play like 09 Barcelona... but aren't interested in scoring.

Wasted opportunities

Frustrating game. Shot ourselves in the foot 3 times and ultimately cost us the chance to get anything out the game.

Would the sending off changed the game? Maybe, but there's little point in what if's now.

Thankfully other scorelines haven't hurt us so there's that.

Enjoy that one Boro fans, in the smoggy slumps there is little to smile about living up there, so enjoy the gift that Derby and Mike Dean delivered.

We'll see you again next season.

Losing Jagielka and Shinnie was massive, but also unnecessary in terms of where we were at under administration.

Two players that could have given us a fighting chance against Forest, Huddersfield and Boro. Only one person caused that and he was in the stands telling the press he needed ‘extra security’.

Post game frustration, but the situation is a joke.

Also Morrison and Stearman get straight reds, what’s happened today then?

Jagielka loss was huge.  Shipping for fun since then.  No real organisation.  Stearman tries but nowhere near in terms of footballing brain and feet and Buchanans quick but stays off the forward too much as he's not a centre half.

To be fair we have a squad full of kids. To be too critical is being a bit unfair. That’s the first time we have let in more than 2….just not our day today against a good home side.

Thompson was the man that should have been out there. Forsyth had to tuck in and track his man? Thompson was nowhere again. He's contributed to most of Boro's best moments.

This game isn't the making/breaking of him but he's one of the biggest contributors to the scoreline

Whos fozzy tracking? Hes the full back.. jones is it ? Was the winger.. call me old fashioned but hes fozzys man

either way that last one neither of them were in the same postcode as him
