Defensively I don't think we do look very comfortable on the few occasions we have been put under pressure. Going forward we are looking more dangerous but still only carved out on clear cut chance with Aluko's shot being blocked 1 vs 1. Lots of nice interplay but few players who want to take real responsibility for making or scoring a goal. Players look relieved to be out of possession. Carroll has been tidy. Max Bird likes a long raking pass but this slows things down. Morrison looks the most likely to score a goal but looks frustrated by those around him. Byrne looks sharp, Buchanan less so. Jagielka would be good if he had pace next to him but over twenty yards he looks like me! Lawrence is no captain. Aluko flatters to deceive, nice moments followed by wasteful ones. It's early and impossible to make long term judgments but these are the ones I have made on one half of football. Has gone down twice for absolutely nothing (anyone have a better view of the time he went down clutching his face?) And this isn't how I want Derby to be seen. Had one possible bright moment, but with a squad, where we could/do have the likes of Knight, Bird, Bielik, Shinnie, Morrison, Watson, Sibley. Do we really need him?
