v Salford City - Pre Season Friendly

Toothless. Negative. Totally goal shy exemplified by Baldock refusing to shoot when in a one-on-one against the keeper.

If this season is going to be different from last we need something to change. We need to play with verve and aggression and everyone wanting to get on the ball, drive forward, get into the box and try to score. Instead we turn back and pass sideways, at a pedestrian pace. This can't be anything other than Rooney ball.

Then we give 15 minutes to so to Sibley and Ebosele. What chance do they have? They need minutes on the pitch, not the triallists who if they were any good would run a mile rather than sign for us.

An Own Goal! Is this the only way we'll ever score?

Oh dear Baldock.  That was dreadful.

Thought we played well against Man U, however QPR are beating them 4-1.

On a positive note, at least Salford aren’t in the Championship

Looked neat and tidy against Man U, less so today but these are pre-season friendlies - There is so little you can take from them. I'm mildly encouraged, whenever we look good in pre-season, we've been carp in the real stuff.

I see your point but i feel like that's just a dig at Rooney for the sake of it. It shouldn't have to take anyone to tell the professional football players to actually have some urgency, track men, pass to a player in white etc etc.

Take it as you like,it is a dig at rooney,I wasn't trying to disguise it.

He's hopeless at man management.

And last pre-season we were dreadful?

If only we could afford to sack Rooney and get an actual manager in.

The positive was Sibley was the engine behind their own goal?

He could be quite a handy player that lad.
