Imagine Becks sitting in the exec seats up in the West Stand, the whole ground rising in appreciation, "David Beckham's Black and White Army" ringing round the stadium......then it dies down, goes quiet, and a lone voice from the back of the South Stand gives it, "Posh Spice, takes it up the.........."

... Charts?

I doubt it!

Funny we're celebrating possible incoming Americans while the fans of Manchester Red Sox are rioting in the streets over the Glaziers.

I guess it's partly relief that at least it won't be Alonso.

Go Derby White Sox ?

Well I dont trust USA owners but if they are willing to put some money back into the team but at sensibly level but get firm foundations to start again see what happens.

There hasn't been any indication of who is involved in the American consortium. We shouldn't be judging someone because of where they are from.

We can’t get too exited. Again. Mel has shouted from the rooftops that the business he wants to sell has lost £200 mill in 4 years. We as Rams fans do not have the spending power equal to some clubs . We get cheap tickets and don’t buy enough shirts. Mel is desperate to sell and could end up with very little.

Didn't someone once say. If you want to become a millionaire, start off as a billionaire and buy a football club.

Pretty sure Mel would have realised buying a club would lose him money in the long run

Yep best way to hit the big time is owners who bring an international fan base and masses more sponsorship than we have. That’s why the Derventio deal was exciting. It’s not clear folks on here want that! Much harder for a US group to transform us but (Glick was at city) they could put us into an international network of clubs. It’s anyone’s guess what that would mean. Any road up, with a strong US group we’d have stability at last and if it involves Glick he may be smart enough to achieve what MM did not with less cash. But if it’s a US group foolish enough to have Rooney as ‘their man’ at Derby, then prepare for the fan protests in about a year’s time. That’s what it will take to oust the feller

I thought Appleby, Glick etc sold us realising that they'd taken us as far as they could (financially)....... what's changed

Plus does anyone remember how much they bought us for, I wonder how it compares to the current asking price
