trekkie_ram
He’s training with the first team after impressing at the testimonial. Warne has left the door open. Edited August 7, 2023 by Kernow

Animal is a Ram
For sake of clarity, the source is Warne in this interview:
Magicman
He will not let us down if he signs. Rather him than Rhodes whose salary is much higher . RamontheMoor, Ram1988, dilkie and 4 others 5

Animal is a Ram
I'm not against this. He's not our first option, I'm sure, given how relaxed about it Warne seems.
DCFC1388
May as well see how he does vs Sheff Utd, sounds like he did well vs Hudderafield. If he continues to impress next week then maybe get him in before the Wigan game. Andicis, ziggyram59, Carnero and 1 other
hintonsboots
Does Warne’s son read this Forum then, referencing the poster who identified Waggy v Huddersfield? Or maybe Twitter. Isn’t his son called Travis, and is a big lad? 👀 MackworthRamIsGod, The Scarlet Pimpernel, norwichram and 3 others
BPV
Think he comes across as a great bloke, and absolutely gave his all for us at times, especially that Wednesday game. However, if this is where we’re at in terms of signing attacking players it’s a pretty scathing insight to our recruitment at the minute. I’d be absolutely fine with him as a 4th choice option, but with Washington yet to feature in a friendly, he’d be our 2nd choice going into the start of the season. To say we needed another good striking option even before we lost Mcgoldrick, it’s really not looking all that promising going into this season. Obviously there’s still a few weeks left to bring players in, but it’s unlikely to be anyone of any real top quality is it? DarkFruitsRam7
Waghorn's 2018/19 season was very underrated. Scored a good amount of goals and played a big part in the exciting games we had that season. And we obviously bought him off the back of an excellent season at Ipswich. He's had a much better recent history than Jordan Rhodes. angieram, Andicis, Steve How Hard? and 4 others
EulogyForEvolution
I'd welcome him back. He would suit a Warne team down to the ground. He works hard and will likely bag a few goals in this league. He also clearly loves the club and is a good fit personality-wise. Sign him up 👍 IslandExile, Carnero, Andicis and 2 others 4

OoooMarkWright
It’s a bit farcical that Waghorn plays in a testimonial and then Derby realise he might be worth a punt. He’s been a free agent for weeks. Why didn’t we invite him in then? It’s no secret what he offers as a player. I thought Warne/recruitment had a list and went through the list one by one. For me, it’s not a great sign for our recruitment team. I’m not against Waghorn signing, but the process seems bizarre and without much planning. jono
Sign Waggy, give Brown and gentle and increasing introduction, play to Collins strengths, Bird higher up, Sibley finding his mojo and (injury crisis apart) we will go up. Oooops quite a lot of things need to go right* come to think of it 🤣 *Defence is sorted .. we are going to be the meanest m*****k**s this season. Love the look of our back line. I did hear that he knew Waghorn was without a club and still lived in the area so offered him use of our training facilities without any strings attached....
