  1. I really hope this isn't ruined by some wannabe Banksy numpties after 5 mins.
  2. Careful about going back into town post-match everyone.
  3. Reminds me of one of my favourite lines in Chicken Run. Mrs Tweedy, the chickens are revolting! Finally, something we agree on
  4. Believe he was free with promotion clauses? See also Joe Ward and another who escapes me
  5. Wouldn't you like to know?
  6. Balamory on the other wing
  7. One of my first Derby County heroes. Great to see he still has Derby in his heart.
  8. I'd agree. Even JJ has made some crucial contributions. Embleton the worst signing, but it's really hard to blame anyone for that one.
  9. Interesting on the first bit, have you marked Ward lower than Elder by virtue of his lack of availability? I thought the same, but Ward's had the more obvious contributions IMO, plus he's a little younger. Couldn't agree more with the second part. Suspect it's a lot to do with still having to rummage in the clearance bin, but still place a little bit of blame on Warne's head for the selections. That said, he deserves a lot of credit for still getting us to 2nd with all that disruption to key players.
  10. Summer window: Curtis Nelson - 10 - absolute rock, so consistent. Callum Elder - 6 - flashes of good once he had a run in the team, but a stop-start season Joe Ward - 7 - so dangerous and important in that recent run of games, but again, a stop-start season Sonny Bradley - 7 - sticky start but has put some excellent performances in Josh Vickers - 6.5 - solid enough in the games played, especially after a tough personal loss Kane Wilson - 7.5 - love watching him on the ball, a bit prone to trying to do too much Martyn Waghorn - 6 - a useful stop gap, excellent hat-trick Conor Washington - 5 - too much time out with injuries, but still scored some important goals Tyrese Fornah - 5 - not terribly effective, but has time on his side Elliot Embleton - 1 - waste of a loan space after a season-ending injury, no contributions Ryan Nyambe - 7.5 - looked unbeatable defensively at times, but can't help the feeling he throttled us going forward Tyreece John-Jules - 5.5 - too much time out, a real shame, but a critical goal at Port Vale Winter: Ebou Adams - 10 - the missing piece, completed the midfield Dwight Gayle - 7 - another useful stop-gap, typical that he picked up an injury when in form Corey Blackett-Taylor - 6 - took a while to get going, hope to see more from him next season Max Bird - 8 - keeping him to the end of the season was essential, for me Extensions: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - 8 - our main threat going forward for most of the season Eiran Cashin - 10 - telepathic understanding with Nelson, future money security Jake Rooney - 7 - looked good early in the season, hope he comes back stronger after his injury
  11. Summer window: Curtis Nelson Callum Elder Joe Ward Sonny Bradley Josh Vickers Kane Wilson Martyn Waghorn Conor Washington Tyrese Fornah Elliot Embleton Ryan Nyambe Tyreece John-Jules Winter: Ebou Adams Dwight Gayle Corey Blackett-Taylor Max Bird* *I've included Max, as I feel it was crucial we had him to the end of the season. Extensions: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing Eiran Cashin Jake Rooney Ratings out of 10, please. I might do some statistical analysis.
  12. How about @Day-o? or @Daylight come and me wan' go home?
  13. With some of the reverse perskyologicals we've had this season, I'm taking this to mean he's starting.* *pinch of salt.
  14. Not quite - this one is double elimination. Barnet would get two bites at it with the one @RadioactiveWaste proposed.
  15. Also known as, the double elimination bracket. See it tons in esports. Yes, I know, I'm a nerd.
  16. I do find myself agreeing with this, and sometimes it feels as if there's more prestige to going up through the playoffs than there is coming second (matron!) That said, for me, I'd change the format: 3rd goes straight to the final, 4th place becomes the semi vs. the winner of 5th vs. 6th. Single games, at neutral venues, final at Wembley. Will never happen, mind.
  17. Saturday sees 8 out of 12 games in the final round with permutations for the league: Barnsley vs. Northampton Derby vs. Carlisle Fleetwood vs. Burton Lincoln vs. Portsmouth Peterborough vs. Bolton Port Vale vs. Cambridge Reading vs. Blackpool Stevenage vs. Cheltenham A two-way fight for second, a four-way fight for two playoff spots, and a three-way fight to avoid the last trapdoor spot. Stick yer Premier League, I love lower league football. There's also a world where we finish with more wins, more goals scored, and fewer goals conceded than the champions if Derby win and Portsmouth fail to beat playoff-chasing Lincoln. My predictions have the final top 8 looking as such, with Burton relegated on goal difference.
  18. Even if 2nd was unlikely, surely you'd want to at least try and secure 3rd?
  19. Even sweeter that it's against Car Park Sold Out FC
