Some fun sponges on here today! I don’t see the fascination personally with laps of honour, they’re pretty boring. Show your support and appreciation during the 90 minutes. But, on occasions like tomorrow, if promotion is secured then it would be nice. Therefore I’m sure we will have both. A pitch invasion of pure relief and ecstasy, it’s been a rough 2 years. Emotions will be high so you can’t begrudge fans going on the pitch. Then clear off for the lap of honour. It happened v Palace and can happen again. Stop worrying about it and enjoy the day!

Make no mistake, we’re on the pitch next week. Promotion is all but done. Palace 1996, we had a great pitch invasion and then a lap of honour too. I see no different to this weekend coming up. Fans celebrations on the pitch are special, promotions at home are special. It’s a rarity. Let the fans enjoy it. Lap of honours are ok and I’m sure will happen, but this is generational, regardless of division. That fat lady is about to sing, enjoy it….

Oxford away on Saturday for P’Boro is tough. They also have a lot of games over a short period. I’d be surprised if they don’t drop points. If they don’t, and beat Bolton, fair play to them. They’ll deserve it. We must win the next 3. Pressures on. 2nd half was awful today. No control, poor decision making and composure. We were lucky not to concede in the end. I have no issues with the subs or starting 11. Individuals were off it. CBT and NML were awful. Washington was his usual self, Collins no service and looked unfit. We’ve let others back in it again.

Umbro have been good. They have at least produced relatively bespoke kits and not the usual rubbish that we got from adidas. They’ve also added the retro kits of years gone by, so overall have been decent. I definitely don’t want adidas, they were the worst kits we had of recent years. Puma, Hummel, Castore or Bukta for me.

Why high press?? Just because Man City and Liverpool do it, does it mean everyone does? Our shape and discipline were outstanding. We were comfortable. They created nothing. There was no space, everything was in front. Just because they had 70 odd percent possession means nothing. We were not holding on. We were sitting deep, but they were getting frustrated. A wonder strike was the difference. A high press is what they would want, opening gaps to exploit.

Very good point. They didn’t trouble us 2nd half so frustrating not to hold out, but I’ll take it. A very controlled away performance. Our shape and discipline out of possession is outstanding. Also a shout out to the referee. He was excellent.

IF we lose tomorrow, we could quite conceivably go into our next game v Wycombe being level on points with Bolton. A point would be great.

Looks like just single ticket seats left for Blackpool. They best open the East Stand section up

Does anyone know when tickets become available for the East Stand blocks near the away fans? I’m holding fire for the Blackpool game but it’s a risky tactic. There down to below 850 now.

A perfect away day performance. Decent first half, complete control without creating too much. 2nd half, good 2 goals, soaked up the pressure and hit them on the counter. It could’ve been more. Other results went in our favour. Game on!

Bolton battered Barnsley. I think Barnsley are a pretty average team, performances aren’t great but results have been decent. Sounds familiar. Peterborough are the dark horses, picking up form again and have a decent run in. It’s going to be tight

Unfortunate comments, yes. But he’s not a racist. I don’t think there would be a backlash at all. He’s an ex Derby great. It won’t happen though. Not for the reasons stated though.

Frustratingly we had him here at the start of last season. Unfortunately we let him go. Can’t see Hull releasing him now.

Cashin at left back? He played there for last 10-15 at Barnsley. Could still be a 4. I’d prefer that to 3 at the back.

I have no complaints with Warne playing 3 at the back today. Bradley was decent last week and it would have been harsh to drop him. He defended well again today. Maybe Sibley could’ve played LWB as Elder is too defensive for that position, but after last week it was understandable for him to play higher. I thought Sibley was like the old Sibley for the first half hour too, harrying everything until he hurt his foot. We are just so toothless up top for obvious reasons. 2 sloppy mistakes cost us, but there was very little in the game and they barely troubled us either. My main issue was the start of the second half, we were terrible. The passing was appalling, from everyone. Wildsmith included. Also, Wilson gets into some great positions but he has to deliver more once there. A frustrating one.

Fantastic win. Delighted for Sibbo. The fans were brilliant in the 2nd half and we produced an improved performance. BUT… I can’t understand Warnes selection today. We were so defensive. 3 at the back and 2 defensive minded ‘wing backs’ was poor. Playing just 2 in the middle when Bird has flourished in a 3 was crazy. We had zero runners getting in and beyond in the first half. Fair lay to the lads for grinding out a win, but that first hour was proper pony. We could’ve made it easier with a more forward thinking midfield/defence. But, we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters.

Oh come on. CEO and finance officer of a club going into admin. Of course he has some responsibility. Morris is the ultimate one of course, but Pearce constantly said we weren’t in danger of FFP. He was wrong.

Fair enough. But as I said, there was a question which wasn’t asking about any of the intricacies of administration, merely his role at the time. I don’t see why he couldn’t talk about that. Pearce has failed to take responsibility for what happened.

One of the questions was about his role in the previous regime. He could have spoken about that. Not everything is covered through an NDA. It’s not financial records or meetings he was asked to disclose. He just hid behind the NDA as he does for most things.
