Shithousery performance by Derby failing there.

You can blame the ref but that was utter nonsense again. No direction, no responsibility, no leadership.

The exact sort of team that we would face under McClaren and get annoyed when they'd fluke something off us.

It was a penalty. That was deserved. And that could have been avoided if somebody took some responsibility on the ball. Or if there was any kind of direction beyond kick it up and head it on. Torquay managed to play so it wasn't impossible to ask for Derby to at least compete in that second half.

If Torquay had scored earlier in the half they might have gone on to win it too. Such was the open invitation.

Only seen this since the Ipswich game but I'm assuming this isn't a common approach to games?

A bunch of midfield bottlers, forwards with just a general "do stuff" instruction and then defenders encourage to just play the percentages? Is that one Warne is about?

The approach is usually get the ball out wide to NML and hope he can beat his man to produce something. When he's taken off we've not got many ideas apart from clear it and hope we can hang on.

I thought that we were poor second half but the ref was worse.

We didn't manage to hold the ball up at all once we went down to ten men, Dobbin, Osula and Collins all guilty of terrible decisions in possession.

If you didn't know better you'd believe that the ref had a dressing down at half time for being too fair.

You’re wrong. We were far worse than the ref.

Ultimately I think the game management in the second half cost us, not the inability to take chances

It’s a tougher gig vs 10 on that pitch in front of their fans. Why not just put the game to bed when we were cruising? Makes it so much harder when Derby County do Derby County things.

We say it every week. Creating chances aren’t the problem anymore, it’s putting them way.

Yep. (To the last Q)

Absolutely pathetic, bottom on the national league 0-2 up and we throw it away. Can’t help ourselves from giving away cheap pens and a red card, so bloody poor

Agree, its just braindead and carelessness

Also a total utter lack of concentration

Needs addressing quickly paul

I notice this has brought out the wrist-slashers in force. How long do you reckon it will be until they've burnt themselves out and it'll be safe to come back on the forum? ?

Not wrist slashing. I’m not a wrist slasher but the performance needs to be called out. 6 penos conceded in 8 matches. Awful second half. Truly awful. Well done Torquay but fans are right to be angry. That was horrendous and lucky to get a replay.

Cue ridiculous over the top comments from posters who really don't seem to have a clue. FA upsets happen and the psychology that underlies them makes it no surprise.  Fan-favourite Cashin is the one who might deserve some criticism since it was his conceding a penalty that changed things but Hourihane is a much easier target for the mob.

That was the same with the previous man in charge this season as well though
