Yes, a massive overreaction.

We were standing a few rows back in the terrace. The weather was awful and got worse as the game went on. The pitch was awful and got worse as the game wore on.

The conditions were a world away from the comforts of Pride Park and honestly more suitable for wellington boots than football boots.

Torquay’s players relished those conditions because they had nothing to lose and they knew the conditions would level things up and be favourable to them.

It was a tough, back and forth, well contested cup tie in difficult conditions. It was far from a disgrace.

In 2011, we were knocked out of the FA Cup by non-league Crawley Town and at the time we were a mid-table Championship side. Now that was a disgrace!

The 3-1 to Bristol Rovers was bad as well. They were near the bottom of Division Three (as was) at the time.

The FA Cup First Round Replay TV selections have been revealed and it’s fair to say it’s had a very mixed response since being announced.

Peterborough United will now visit Salford City’s Peninsula Stadium on Wednesday 16th November, with a 7:45pm kick-off. The game will be broadcast live on ITV 4.

The winner will visit League One Shrewsbury Town in the Second Round on the weekend of 26th November.

The second to be broadcasted on TV is Derby County v Torquay United with ticket information confirmed for the tie at Pride Park Stadium.

The game will take place at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday 15th November (7:45pm kick-off) and also be shown live on BBC Three, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport online.

I was there - and it remains the worst game of football I have ever seen Derby contest.
