  1. It’s taken a while but I’ve got it now. Right EVERY game Derby score fewer goals than I expect, so for Derby to win a game the opposition must score fewer goals than the fewer goals than expected Derby score. Simple it comes down to who scores the fewer goals loses…..phew I never realised this!
  2. I hope for our magnificent travelling fans we win well on Saturday either clinching promotion or near as damn it so us homers can celebrate against Carlisle.
  3. This pretty much sums up my thoughts. It’s looking like he will do the job he was signed to do. He is no fool and will be aware that this style of play will not cut it in the Championship. Maybe with money to spend on better players he can get us playing a more expansive style, maybe not, hopefully we will be seeing if this is the case next season.
  4. Best game I have seen Sibley have. He suits the wingback role and his tackling and covering plus decision making was much better yesterday. He looked a stronger more mature player yesterday.
  5. Can't listen to them turned off after 15 minutes they truly dreadful.
  6. 😁it took me several years……but I was about 5 at the time!
  7. Didn’t have a car growing up but my uncle did. One night he took me for a drive and I got to sit in the front seat. When we went down unlit roads he showed me how he could turn the cats eyes on and off! I was dead impressed but also slightly bemused how this would affect other drivers. Took me many years to work out what was happening 🙄
  8. Wash your mouth out with soap!! I believed this was a fallacy until one day my mum caught me swearing and did exactly that…my throat stung for hours!
  9. Pompy are about to experience ‘nearly there’ jitters after so long in the div1/2 wilderness. They realise they are up against Mr ‘done it all before Warne’ who is hitting his stride at the right time, They will be feeling the pressure in front of an expectant capacity crowd. It’s a night all Derby touch turns to gold. The travelling hordes will be heard away in the Channel Islands. Pompy 0 Derby 3 never in doubt!
  10. Out of interest who has seen Derby play at the most grounds in their lifetime ignoring just focus on the current 92 which keeps changing. For example seeing Derby at both the BBG and Pride Park =2. Wembley counts as 1 as same site.
  11. The different prism’s through which we see games! FWIW I thought today’s performance was a distance away from some of those horrors earlier in the season and we looked to play some good football at times, if not always successfully. NML was lovely first half but tired as did Washington who made some good runs including one wrongly flagged offside, another where he would have buried a cross from Ward had it not been cut off and the chance when he was free was at an angle where you would only back a fully fit striker to score. For me he did fine and gives us something different.
  12. Fine win against a team who came to play which made for an entertaining game. Whole team put in a real shift despite several being below full fitness. How Adam’s puts in such a performance whilst not eating or drinking during daylight is astonishing. The wide players really put in a shift with CBT looking like the player we expected. Wilson was a real problem for them at RB. Sibley again good at LB and Cash and Nelson are imperious. Smith was my MoM his positional sense was excellent and Wildsmith has hit a rich vein of form since returning. Washington worked hard and made some good runs despite a lack of match fitness. All the subs then put in a shift and we saw the game out easily. Finally the support was great again, a win which makes the win against Bolton even more significant given results elsewhere. B4 would be ultra optimistic Pompy we are coming for you 😁 COY🐏
  13. Not read through much of this thread, listened to Talksport first half and first 20 mins of second and then went for a walk as it was obviously going to be ‘one of those days’. Seen the highlights and should have been 2 or 3 up by HT but this s**t happens sometimes. Irritated and disheartened yes BUT if we had the choice of taking only 3 points from the last two games, which many thought a distinct possibility then we’d have taken them from the Bolton game no problem key now is to beat Blackpool and take something from Pompy both of which is eminently doable COYR.
