Max bird best derby player on the pitch by a mile. Keeping him will be our best signing this season. Not convinced in Collins and thought we missed mcgoldrick as the gap was to big between centre miss and attack. One of the 3 needs to get closer

He’s a class act is our Max

Just to put things into perspective.

Tielemans cost £32 mil

Our most expensive player that played today was Fozzy who cost us a whopping £150k. Everyone else was either free or from the academy.

I thought we did well upto 70 mins and the changes started coming. We had a number 10 and a number 9 as wingers after NML and Barkz went off, who I thought both played well. This shows you where we need better cover.

They want us too love them like they love us .  Them and Stoke should swop notes.

They’re so desperate for a rivalry it’s hilarious, they’ll be the same with Forest in the prem this season and you can guarantee Forest will sing about us all game, they’re not arsed about Leicester either

One thing about Leicester’s squad, it’s ridiculously good if that was perceived as their spare parts.

just shows the absolute chasm between EPL riches and EFL rags

It wasn’t. The two squads they have for their two games are quite evenly split. Tielemans, for example, is their best player and he played against us.

No. The team playing at Preston at the moment is likely to be the team that starts the league season. Tielemans is likely to be sold. Of the others, only Ndidi is a first choice player.

Only two of this team are first choice players for Leicester. Ndidi, who's been injured and is playing his first match back, and Tielemans who they're desperate to sell as he's out of contract next summer and won't sign a new one.

They're open to offers for Castagne, Praet, Soyuncu and several others in this team. Their squad is too big and they need to sell players.

They were in europe last year so needed the squad so would wager most you have listed would have seem a reasonable amount of first team football last season one way or another

They embarrassed themselves singing Champions of England you’ll never sing that, when we’ve won it twice

Entertaining game. Despite flagging a bit at the end as Leicester pushed it up a notch we didn’t look out classed. They created more clear chances but we weren’t without threat.

Liked the look of Smith, more than tidy and hungry with it. Some nice bits of interplay with NML, Bird and Hourihan. Knighty did ok but he is better higher up where his great energy has more effect.

Max Bird is excellent and is still improving. Pleasure to watch. NML is like a runaway train but he is no bulldozer, a lot of subtlety there. I think he’s going to be excellent. More than happy with Wildsmith. Looks comfortable. Roberts pretty strong again. Happy with Chester or Cashin with Curtis. Colin’s worked hard but no one quite close enough to him, but you can see he is strong enough to play hold up forward and has a decent touch. Hope he gets a goal against Alfreton, just for his own confidence. Barkhuisen is quick isn’t he ? great finish, gave us something to cheer.

We will have learned a lot from that. On chances made Leicester deserved the win but 3-1 flattered them

roll on next week
