What is their argument gonna be:

"they said we are like a mafia gang, which we need to sue for because we are 100% definitely not a mafia gang"

The Forest Forum is pretty depressing, many of them they are making an incredible stand here vs the problems with VAR and referees in general. They all seemed to miss the part where they excused an official of deliberately cheating to benefit the team he supported.

They also claim that loads of other people are behind them (some tweets) and there is a grand conspiracy between Premier League, The Media, TalkSport, Sky etc. They are all coordinated against plucky little Forest, who should have had a penalty, so called out someone for cheating.

Oh, and some posters even revelling in their owners crimimal links, laughing about how he'll burn down their bakery, or more sinister actions. Will they be celebrating when someone gets hurt, either on their owner's command or just a Forest moron acting alone.

I really want them to take legal action. It'd be hilarious. The entire shambles just bringing more and more attention to how pathetically they are behaving.

Likening a tweet that appears to imply a threat to mafia language (the context that everyone understood it to be) is hardly going to fly in court, and if it gets that far, Sky can fund the kinds of lawyers who've seen off much worse.

If anyone should be taking anyone to court it's Atwell for being slandered by forest.

Stamping their wee feets determined clear accounting breeches should be ignored because forest reasons and forest alone have the moral authority to feel hard done to by decisions.....I do hope that appeal delivers justice......

This is absolutely what happens when the official club account tweets things to this effect. Instantly legitimised the normal conspiracy nonsense

Very reminiscent of us with the 'got the league on strings' stuff with MM- seems they learned nothing from us. Very rarely does antagonising powerful governing bodies with no independent regulation end well for the antagoniser (we know better than anyone!)

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

So, assuming Atwell is an England fan, how will they make sure that he doesn't cheat again for the benefit of the team he supports?

He'll be disallowing goals in the group stages to cunningly plot an easier route for England to the final.

His masterplan will be to get all the big teams into one half of the draw, so England can procede comfortably to the final.

Or perhaps we will see his real evil genius at work...making VAR decisions against England, meaning they only finish 2nd in group, but missing all the big teams that he has contrived to end up in the other half! God, he is well dodgy. But brilliant.

To make a somewhat semi serious point though, the stupidity of all this is that on Sunday and yesterday Coventry deserved all the plaudits for the game they made of it at Wembley. Also Leeds vs Boro was another very good game of football last night and deserves credit (with a bit of damnation over both sides defending as well)!

But what are the top of football discussions at the minute? Antony celebrations, VAR decisions, pep moaning of fixture congestion’s and Forest losing the plot. If you want to know what is wrong with the premier league, it’s that they all live in a microcosm where they think we should all care about all these little things that shouldn’t matter over actual games of football.

It's not really a Premier League microcosm - it's a football one, though it is amplified beyond all reason in the premier league.

Footballers and managers exist in an environment where they never have to grow up. They play a game in childhood that someone pays them to do in adulthood, surrounded by similar people and those employed to perfom parental tasks like do the shopping, fix stuff etc.

Whilst this doesn't necessarily apply to all players, there are a lot of children in adult bodies, who never develop emotionally and are used to getting their own way, throwing tantrums etc.

The premier league and media endulge all this like rubbish parents.

How can somebody be cleverer enough to study for many years in sports medicine and choose a haircut like that.

They must have chosen the role by throwing a dart at this picture and hitting top left.

A reminder.

Take your pick to what to focus on, but this is probably the worst of the lot: "In January 2021, and after ten witnesses of the case have already died, and after reviewing the case, the judge came to the conclusion that there was no evidence implicating Marinakis, and therefore concluded his investigation."

I hope this stuff starts getting more national attention.

There is a big difference in law between saying "it’s like a mafia gang statement" to saying something like "Evangelos Marinakis is in a mafia gang". No one with any legal knowledge would advise them to take that to litigation, its just meant to have a chilling effect on critics.

The only other explanation is that fatty is indeed in the mafia.
