  1. Pics or it didn't happen πŸ˜‚
  2. The end of that quote may well inadvertently work in @RoyMac5's favour however πŸ˜‚
  3. Crazy how I checked out after less than 2 sentences πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
  4. Yeah that says a lot about him. Fair play πŸ‘
  5. And yet many don't seem to have an issue with it. It does seem the generally vocally negative are the ones that seem irked by it... I don't think that's a coincidence? I saw loads of comments after the Northampton game about how he shouldn't play for us again etc. Sections of our fanbase seem utterly oblivious at times that some of that criticism filters back to the players themselves. They're human and will react to it... then when they do, many of those same fans pull the surprised pikachu face that they dare have an emotional response...
  6. I enjoyed it. Maybe that's because I've backed him all along so don't feel 'triggered' by it like you clearly are... guilty conscience talking perhaps? I suspect it was in reference to a lot more than just the sending off. I've seen 'fans' write absolute nonsense about him all season, slagging him off whenever the opportunity presents itself. I have zero issue with a player giving it back under those circumstances. We saw the same with Lawrence previously. Instead of fans getting indignant when it happens, maybe turn the mirror round and have a look at whether some of our own behaviour is causing it to happen eh?
  7. I thought Kone was decent as well, just read his wikipedia though and came across this very strange section... Can't work out what this means πŸ€”
  8. This doesn't really make sense. A team can't achieve consistent success over the course of a 46 game season by going against the tactics implemented by the manager. So any success achieved by the team as a whole, by proxy, also includes the manager. Valid criticism of Warne is perfectly fine, but stuff like this I find baffling. You can't just overlook or dismiss the part Warne's played in our success, whilst simultaneously attributing most of our failings on him. Credit has to go both ways.
  9. Yeah this is it for me. If Bolton go ahead and beat both Portsmouth and Peterborough, it'd be hard for even the most biased Derby to fan to say we deserve an autos spot over them...
  10. 2nd highest rated player overall in League 1, let alone just defenders (based on OPTA data)
  11. Not sure 'should' is fair. The rules seem conditional on which phase of play contact first happens in. Because Wildsmith's first handled inside the area (a legal claim), that stops the 'promising attack'. Meaning his subsequent handling outside the area is a different phase which avoids the need for a card to be shown. I think the ref handled it perfectly given it wasn't malicious and no real advantage was gained from our perspective.
  12. Potentially, I can't recall that particular game though. CBT starting is integral for me, agreed. I'm really quite nervous about this game, won't lie.
  13. So would you favour offensive prowess over defensive stability? No right answer, just curious. If we're moving to a back 4 then I'd probably prioritise stability which I think we'd have more of in Wilson at fullback. In regards to attack, this is the game that CBT has to step up. Our marquee signing of Jan now has a gilt-edged chance to show what he's about. Just hope he takes it. ((If he doesn't start, serious questions need to be asked about recruitment!)
  14. Why are people preferring Ward over Wilson at RB? Neither are defensively amazing but Wilson has looked more solid there to my eyes (and gives away less penalties). Playing Wilson at fullback gives him the space to use his greatest strength- progressive dribbling, whilst Ward as a winger would still be able to utilise his crossing. Given that Wilson sometimes lacks end product, this way round seems more sensible to me?
  15. Me reading any of Dryhorce's suggestions:
  16. Won't lie, i've started checking in on this thread just to see how this whole saga pans out πŸ˜‚
  17. The only optimistic thing to note is the DCFC twitter account tweeting about 'Don't fall in love with a loan player' a few weeks back which a few interpreted as being a coy way of hinting they may be a permanent clause in the deal?
  18. ATG: 1Wildsmith - 6.5 - Relatively quiet apart from the goal which I can't blame him for. 35Nelson - 7 - So impressive aerially. Commanding performance the norm for him now. 5Bradley - 6.5 - Could have done better for the goal but not a disastrous error. Decent otherwise. 2Wilson - 6.5 - Couple of nice dribbling moves and wasn't troubled defensively often. 6Cashin - 7 - Dealt with everything he had to. 23Ward - 7.5 - Another assist proving his deliveries are great to have in our attacking arsenal. 27Blackett-Taylor - 6 - Probably needs a goal but there are glimpses of potential. 32Adams - 7.5 - Great energy again, interspersed with some good passing. 4Hourihane - 6.5 - Decent first half but faded in the 2nd. Fantastic penalty, however- uber composed 12Smith - 6.5 - Looks loads better recently, a great addition to have for the run-in 17Sibley - 6 - Early shot should have been on target. Defended okay against a good winger in Azeez. 7Barkhuizen - 7 - Involved heavily in offensive link up play and made far more of an impact as a result. Should have squared the ball earlier for Waghorn though. 25Gayle - 8 - Such an intelligent player, but won a surprising amount of flick-on headers as well, showing different sides to his game. Looking seriously impressive. 10Waghorn - 6 - Got himself in decent areas, can't blame him for not scoring, great point blank save from their keeper. 11MΓ©ndez-Laing - 6 - Quiet day for NML 3Forsyth - 6.5 - Great to see him back
  19. I missed this in real time at the game, but watching the highlights back- the way he celebrates so passionately after winning the penalty is quality. Show's he already really cares and wears his heart on his sleeve. Nice to see!
