I heard he wasnt really into football till he got us dont know how true that is though. You are correct, Kathcairns, the word is that he allegedly knew absolutely nothing about football at all, although word is that he tried to carry an air of being keen on football. Rammeister
I keep thinking we should be able to do something with ‘Send in the Clowes’, or ‘Tears of the Clowes’ or perhaps ‘Derby’s Clowes’ (to Cathy’s Clown). If you’re young ask your parents. Or grandparents. Sweetness34

MadAmster
Sorry but, IMO, using any song to "honour" David Clowes that is based on a song with "clown" in the title or "tears" does seem against the spirit of what any Clowes song/chant should be... angieram, Hector was the best, Premier ram and 2 others

Cant we just shout thankyou David Clowes at the end, prob seems a bit boring though to a lot of fans.

ramit
What a blessing this man has been for the club, saving it from near certain ruin and then appointing the management team to guide us back to the Championship. Am so pleased for everyone at the club on this day of celebration, but especially for our esteemed owner Mr. David Clowes. Thank You Sir. Steve Buckley’s Dog
The stand up for David Clowes moment and applause, which went on and on, nearly brought a tear to my eye because if it wasn’t for him then there wouldn’t have been a yesterday. SillyBilly
Being a football owner is the toughest gig but days like yesterday are probably priceless I imagine. It was lovely to see his joy, well deserved. Its a fickle business so a day to be cherished that noone can take away from him. I really am pleased this humble man got a little bit of the limelight on the day, as it was all his doing ultimately.
