It’ll mean that the deal is all but dead. Chansiri is digging his heels in, so all but a massive U-turn last minute, that’ll be that.

I’d like to hope there’s a better option out there for us than Gregory. And we shouldn’t be waiting for any U-turn from Wednesday as it’ll ultimately ruin any chance we have of getting a good alternative.

That isn't really how transfers work though is it? We don't just fixate on one target at a time and ignore everything else. There's no reason there can't be other irons in the fire.

Maybe, but they know we're desperate because our recruitment is so hopeless, we can only look at old Rotherham old boys or, when that fails, go back to the same club for even older ex-players. Come tomorrow night they'll probably be laughing all the way to the bank.

Blackburn deal for this lad had a last minute collapse so Sheff Wed have now gone back in for him. Could potentially give us a very small chance of getting smith. He only got on the bench today because Fletcher couldn’t play agaisnt his parent club. Would put smith down to 5th choice striker at the club.

Of course…..but when you are fixated on one player and delay and delay hoping the other side will back down (as per Wendies) then many of those other ‘irons in the fire’ are snapped up by other clubs. Wednesday’s utterances made it clear fairly early on that we were going to go thru the same charade as last time….

Yesterday Adams said that we had been working on his loan for a couple of months, yet nobody knew, no itk, and no leaks. 

Today might bring another surprise or two, it may not, but the time to slag the club off is once the window shuts and once we know who we have and who we dont.
