  1. I cannot believe we are using the phrase "quality finisher" about a guy with 19 goals in 111 Championship appearances Christ.
  2. Good job every manager he has had since has brought this out of him then? I've seen lots of players with flashes of quality and who have looked good at one time or another. It takes more to be consistent. He didn't have it in him. He had 1 amazing season at League One for Posh, 1 or 2 "okayish returns" seasons, and the rest has been dross. I'm sorry, that's Conor Sammon territory in terms of return, with none of the tenacious workrate
  3. I really love that the memorial brick says B4 Was he known by this anywhere else, or is it a symbol of his legacy on this small corner of the Internet and the legacy he has left here? Feels disingenuous to say I miss him because I really didn't know him, and those who did, they actually miss him for real. But I definitely miss his contributions and his enthusiasm and his passion
  4. Very easy to come here and sneer about people overreacting and piling onto players but people are genuinely angry with Bradley for his stupid antics and let's be fair, Warne probably is too. Irresponsible behaviour from a player so senior and yet so juvenile at the same time. This is the bloke that wanted to walk into the club and be captain right?
  5. Eiran Cashin well hung, he's got a massive knob He wears very tight trousers, so you can see his knob He went out with Ulrika, she said "what a massive wang" And he plays for Derby, have I mentioned his massive wang?
  6. I don't think any result was really perfect for us if you want to look at it in a certain light. A draw means losing 2nd and both teams picking up points, but only 2 points shared out across two rivals rather than 3 in one direction. A Bolton win would have put them a full win away from us, but also would have meant Barnsley were a much less significant threat to us and put it in our hands to overtake them a week on Saturday on goal difference A Barnsley win would have put them pole position to usurp both us and Bolton and made them the in form team. But also would have evened up the playing field slightly and kept us in 2nd for the time being It really is entirely dependent on what all three teams do with the run in games. Pros and cons.
  7. Anyone else getting a message trying to go through the installments that "this is a test application and will not be credit checked"? I have to tick a box beforehand as well confirming that I understand that it is a test.
  8. I think he prefers being on commentary with Shaun Barker to be honest...
  9. I don't think he's a bad guy, I think he's just spineless. The interview just cemented that further. If he didn't like what he was told to do, he could have stood up for himself and said no. And furthermore then leave with some professional reputation in tact. He had a good name for himself at one point, chosen as a Championship representative on the EFL board. He had a way out. That's not even to mention integrity and morals. Nobody forced him. One way or another, he messed up big time. He could at least fess up and apologise for not having the grapefruits to try to stop it happening. Like most politicians, he has no understanding of the responsibility and gravity of his office
  10. "Have you been forced into a relegation scrap that wasn't your fault? If so, you might be entitled to compensation from another club"
  11. Thought you were on about him but didn't think Plymouth were playing. My mistake, forgot the FA Cup was on! 🫣
  12. Don't make excuses for him. He was completely workshy and nowhere near as good as he thought he was. His career since demonstrates this
  13. Problem is that between Collins, Washington, TJJ and Waghorn we really ought to have enough striking options. Perhaps the problem has been re signing JJ which we knew was a risk, perhaps there would have been enough left to get something done if we hadn't. We needed a striker, that is plain and simple, and we failed to do so. But it's not like the club haven't backed the team financially. We play 1 up front and we had 4 strikers. I think the TJJ gamble did not pay off and we were left scrambling basically
  14. The fact we seem to get more late deals done these days gives me hope that we will get a striker in tonight. It also gives me hope that we seem to have a bit more nerve in negotiations and stand our ground, stick to our own budgets and boundaries, and have backup plans if things don't go how we want them to. Time will tell but I am quietly confident we can steer away from panic decisions and do only what we need to do
  15. That isn't really how transfers work though is it? We don't just fixate on one target at a time and ignore everything else. There's no reason there can't be other irons in the fire. No reason at all. That said, I really hope there are other irons in the fire... Please God tell me about the other irons in the fire, fast
  16. We have plenty of good midfielders, I wouldn't be too upset if we find ourselves without another one at the end of the deadline. Perhaps the ones we have haven't had a good showing of late but we should be able to get a good tune out of them as they are good players and if you're all honest with yourselves you know this is true. A striker however, we have 1 fit striker. Unless Conor Washington or Martyn Waghorn are on the way back to miraculous record breaking return from injury, we will need to get through the rest of this season with just one striker. Good as Collins is and has been, we need support for that position. It is the most important thing in the coming days
  17. I think edging closer to the deadline it's becoming clear we need a striker end of. I'll be seriously worried if we don't. Hope the club have more nerve than I do and make the right decision otherwise I'd be signing the Burj Khalifa on a 5 year deal before lunch
  18. I think this should be said - I hope Reading survive as a club and I really can't understand why any self aware Derby fan would feel any differently after what we went through
  19. Hope to receive an apology from the doubters shortly #ITK
  20. Don't waste any time dissecting the minutae of this particular game, just revel in another game won and another 3 points collected. I could write essays on the minute-by-minute analysis but it isn't worth it. On balance we deserved to win, and we did.
