I kind of get it... But equally i think they need to be careful that the EFL doesn't overreach here. With the football creditors rule etc I do wonder whether the government might be upset with this, if it is seen to put another obstacle in the way of a legal process. There is also the very obvious conflict of interest issue.

Q were right to threaten to challenge the 12 points, and the -9 presumably reflected that they dropped the threat (could have been more than -9). And I would think the EFl understood Q’s position.  The falling out over the football creditors issue was very damaging though  - it was clear EFL were furious especially over Q’s statement about inconsistency with insolvency rules. So first MM fell out with the EFL, then Q did ! Don’t think either did us any favours

But the point about conflicts is a good one - the EFL position might be: ‘we need IPs with specialist expertise’  But there’s a danger they will get admins who don’t sufficiently challenge EFL

Either way I don’t think Q will be focusing on this part of their business going forward

Dangerous, basically they're getting admins on their pay books that clubs have no choice but to go with, they can't find their own that will speak up against the EFL like Quant have.

EFL needs to be investigated and overturned quickly they're literally turning into the football Mafia doing what they please, again why I'm so ****** off with Mel he had them on the ropes and just gave up.

I hear what you are saying and I do agree. However, on the flip side we currently have ex owners who can and have ran the clubs into the ground, who then can appoint the admin. Quant haven't acted in the clubs best interests I don't feel like, however our ex owner, whose judgement I don't agree with, says these are the right people. That doesn't sit quite right with me also. There is a middle ground somewhere, I'm sure more people who know more than me on the matter can say where that is.

I've seen suggestions that the bigger insolvency companies just don't want to touch football clubs any more (not just Derby, all football clubs) because the fees they get just don't justify the extra hassle - you've got fans demanding press conferences every 5 minutes, and questioning your expenses, the EFL/FA/EPL etc getting involved, on top of the structure of football clubs (lots of expensive intangible assets you can't easily sell, a stadium that's only valuable with a club to play there etc).  If the EFL start putting off the smaller companies too, there's a real risk that there's nobody left.

They aren't there to act in the clubs best interests,  as has been mentioned dozens of times, they are there to get the creditors the best deal they can, and if that had of been liquidation they would have gone that route.....

“The report mentions the criticism Quantuma have received for their decision to launch a legal challenge against the 21-points deduction to Wayne Rooney’s side. The challenge was unsuccessful.”

So not overhauling to help clubs, only to help themselves. Typical.

And it wasn't against the 21, it was the initial 12. A legal challenge we were forced to drop as the EFL would have dragged out the P&S situtation.

It’s all very quiet surely they’d be some noise if it was today

Why? If it is to be today it seems quite possible that there could be some formalities still to be finalised during the day and so I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear anything until late afternoon. Sadly though, I fear the announcement might be another short extension or worse still, CK announces that due to issues to issues he feels can’t be resolved he is withdrawing his bid. Let’s hope it’s not the latter - if I was a betting man (and was forced to place a bet) I wouldn’t be placing any money on this outcome.
