Today’s results have been far from ideal, but thank god Bristol City equalised, and to a lesser extent, Swansea.

Sheffield Wednesday are very unlikely to catch us now, nor are Wycombe. So it’s a straight battle to stay away from that 22nd place.

We might be benefited by the increased chance of Swansea & Sheffield Wednesday having nothing to play for by the time we play them. That’s the hope I’m clinging on to anyway.

The hope I'm clinging to is that because Sheffield Wednesday have so many players out of contract at the end of the season (Transfermarkt has it as 15 senior players) they might half-arse it against us so as not to risk getting injured before the summer.

I wouldn’t discount Wednesday until close of play next weekend.

They have Blackburn at home and Middlesbrough away to come. If they can get 4 points, they might still have an outside chance depending on our results.

Of course, 1 point from 6 in recent days is a body blow, but us losing 7 in 10 will give any of the bottom three at least some faint hope.

But yes it is fair to say both Wycombe and Wednesday would require something special from here.

Whilst Marriott can’t play Sheffield Wednesday haven’t been using him at all is he injured, ill, or playing golf?

I think he's injured. There was a spell where their last coach said he wasn't available but wasn't injured, which I assume must have been Covid (you can't disclose that a player has Covid, which would explain the weird wording), but I think he's injured this time. It's hard to find updates because I think a lot of Wednesday fans have forgotten that he exists.

never thought i'd have to worry about being caught by Wycombe Wanderers. What has happened to us?

The suggestion was more that Marriott 'has a problem' than has an injury. So maybe his golf swing needed work?

4 points from 11 games is not a blip. We are relegation material. We need Rotherham to lose three in a row, which is not going to happen. Other teams with players not as good as ours on paper are doing better than us.

It’s in our hands, how much does the management and squad want it?! We have no other option than to stand up and be counted. It’s on the Management and the players that are selected to prevent relegation, professional and personal pride is in question.
Who has the whatsits to drag us out of the mess in essence they are all responsible for.
It’s a shame we haven’t been allowed to attend matches, I feel the situation would have been pointed out far sterner than it has without us there.
Nobody can have any doubt whatsoever of our impact as the 12th man on evidence of the last 12 months. It would’ve played out so differently with us there. ?
