Open fires, stews, wine, and bleak walks. My wife’s mum died a few days ago and she needed to escape for a few days before the funeral. It’s so quiet, not much open. Every game the youngsters improve in their knowledge of the game. I think we can get back to winning ways. These men have heads that don’t drop. if we do survive I wonder what name we can give this remarkable group of players ? They deserve one even now. The Men of 21 . slayers of the EFL. Rooney’s Spartans, Rooneys Amazing Men. The Incredibles. I thought with all the shenanigans prior to Rooney's arrival we may achieve some success under a 'Dirty Dozen' mentality. For the current squad's never say die attitude however, I'd suggest 'The Nails'... A nickname given to the 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment of Foot for their heroic exploits against the odds in the Crimean War. I’ve been messing about with a thesaurus but nothing quite catches the spirit I quite liked .. The adamantines but it was a bit lumpy. I love legend, myth and am an incurable romantic .. “I remember Jason Knight .. he was one of the unbroken” . …. Feels good You’ll go blind ??
