Genuine question, but what would happen if this did fall through after the weekend?

I can't imagine for one moment that it would, but would be interested to see what contingencies are in place should it happen. Ashley on speed dial?

There would need to be an emergency source of funding and quick.

Given our level of debt and the fact we have borrowed lots more during this administration process I would imagine this really is last chance saloon.

The fact that John Percy is reporting things that have clearly been leaked to him by people in the know suggests all is far from being well.

The concern throughout all of this for me is sheer incompetence of the administrators. The whole future of the club surviving rests on them having done their jobs properly.

You'd think logically that Chris Kirchner would not have flown over today in time for the EFL board if he had picked up any vibes along the "more work required" line....

I'm smelling some Percy Plop! ?

I'll match your "Percy Plop" and raise you "Percy gets leaks from the EFL".

Ridsdale is a bitter man, who has been screwed over by Derby before (Seth Johnson) and his Preston lost Kirchner.

The EFL process, according to Kirchner, is now "behind closed doors". CK cannot influence it.

I am seriously worried that the EFL are about to find more hoops that CK, Admins, the club will have to jump through.

I hate the EFL.

I think the answer to that is that Mels left with the worlds most expensive allotment with a tenant that needs to pay him 2.5 million a year for 10 years to grow spuds.

The alternative being he gets his finger out his arse by the weekend and accepts he's lost.  Not sure our potential owners tirade after Christmas via twitter will have left him in much mood to do him any favours unfortunately, which is why it's probably dragged on to this late stage.

Kirchner said in the zoom meeting with Solloway that he was going to be in the meeting with the EFL today, then last night he said he wasn’t required in the meeting, now the EFL are saying they need more dialogue before we can proceed.

I smell a stitch up.

There is a footy match on Saturday. Behind closed doors meeting with John Percy is par for the course for EFL.
