  1. Todays another day in our great history, 27-04-2024 will live long in our memories. Derby County squad/management it's in your hands Derby County supporters will push you along. GET IT DONE!
  2. I'm as chilled as an North Sea Cod, No panic, Will sleep soundly, Get ready for the match in the Morning...bus into town...a 5 min walk to the boozer and the day starts. Never been so confident since Zebedee said...if you don't fcukin bounce...if you don't fcukin bounce you're a red 😊
  3. If the game isn't on you can nip upstairs and watch the Mousetrap
  4. The Government giveth with one hand and taketh with the other 🙄 In todays world we have to be a little cute on how to get a deal, Save a couple of quid and enjoy our retirement, It's the younger ones that will be seeing the chickens coming home to roost and I wish them well 👍
  5. Those up in the upper stands will see soon enough as to whether they'll be an invasion, As fans will start to congregate at the bottom of the lower stands, My guess is there will be a larger contingent of stewards to "try" and stop any incursion of the pitch. The South Stand and East Stand Lower will be where the "tidal wave" will come from...if at all If promoted lets all enjoy the day...dispersal order/pitch invasion or not 😊
  6. Another over the top reaction from those who can control the public, Ones persons disorder is another persons party, I think we'll need VAR here to decide. Are fans going to celebrate if DCFC are promoted...of course they are, Do people celebrate the New Year...of course they do, Is there any dispersal orders on New Years day?...football support has changed over the years, The police attitude to supporters hasn't. Come Sunday afternoon if someone is attacked in Derby town centre...there'll not be 1 old bill to be seen 🙄
  7. Ben Toner is the Referee tomorrow, He's reffed us twice this season, Oxford at home 1-2 and Burton at home 3-2, Hows things Ben...all good I hope 😁
  8. An old friend who lived on Meadow Lane Chadd was dating BCs Daughter(Elizabeth)she was a bit of a rebel in them days, Dad wasn't impressed as there was a big age difference. BC and my mate ended up having fisticuffs on my mates front garden, The story hit the News of the World, He made a few bob, We weren't to impressed with him selling the story...he soon bailed from Chadd...never to be seen again by us 🤷‍♂️
  9. The bottom one was banned for advertising cigarettes 😁
  10. If my memory serves me right as this was some 15/16 years ago, The pension money was taken off your gross monthly wage...before the rest was taxed 🤷‍♂️
  11. Would you cheat on your partner?, Steal from you Children's piggy bank?, Wipe your willy on your future in laws curtains? 2 out of the 3 above you wouldn't do And you should never ever bet against your football team.
  12. We were given an extra option of a salary sacrifice pension with Prudential, It was closed after 6 months through cost to RR, I get £11 a year for life with no increase with the added bonus of giving HMRC 20% of this
  13. Oh I'll not forget the result, It's just remembering which bus home I get 😁
  14. When I do my shopping I only have to move along the beer isle and I need the loo, I've started to wear adult nappies, You know the large ones that can hold a gallon of piss 😁
  15. Being cleared of wrong doing in a court in Greece is dependant on how your finances are, The richer you are the more chance of greasing someones palm...being cleared is not a case of innocence. Maybe you haven't heard of the Greece financial scandal a good few years ago, Where Government taxes weren't collected as a good few businesses used 2 accounting books, 1 for the real income and 1 for the tax man. Your either naive of the Greek Court system or or too fixated on xG.
  16. What are the "averages" of the above following the below. https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2022/10/03/anger-mounts-over-endless-greek-corruption-scandals_5998949_4.html
  17. 2 old ladies were caught bringing 4 birds in through customs at Gatwick in their bloomers, Both were charged with Budgie Smuggling I'll get me coat 😁
  18. I'd expect Simpson to say exactly that, He's been in football a loooong time to know what to say when down with the dead men...but, Players are the ones who count, It's on the day, It's what frame of mind you're in, How many will be playing for their livelihood, How many expect to be moved on, Who is in the Simpson camp and who isn't...and most of all...who can be arsed? They're down and relegated for a reason...they're not very good, If our players turn up and I expect every Derby player to do his duty 😊 then all will be fine. Also I expect to be staggering home sometime on Saturday evening from visiting and talking to lots of like minded Derby fans in our boozers.
  19. Yes they are...It's called the English Premier League 😊 Oh...and Everton 2 Liverpool 0
  20. He'd always watch both his Sons Simon and Nigel play for A C Hunters in the Derby Sunday City league and they'd play in Forest kits which was a red rag to some teams...any road. One of those teams was Coronation 81 who could mix it with the best of em, They'd normally kick A C Hunters to bits and BC would watch with no complaints, One of 81s players went down with knee trouble...ambulance called and off to hospital, BC asked through A C Hunters to find out how the player was, Once out of Hospital and out of plaster BC invites the player for rehabilitation at Forest, Player took him up on the invite and it was very much appreciated. When Hunters played 81 again... there was never any trouble...on or off the field...clever bloke was our BC 👌
  21. Post Office...Kirky could see them coming over the Horizon 😁
  22. As Reg has said...put away as much as you can afford, But, You have an age before you retire, My guess mid 70s at the rate things are going, We paid our mortgage off 6 years early and I whacked a load of loot into my RR...AVCs(advanced contributions) Will a government pension be available when you retire 🤷‍♂️, I've told both Son and Daughter to plough in as much into their private pensions as they can afford. If you do it right...you'll be OK...I hope...all the best Scott
  23. I retired at 53 from RR, Took my pension and chilled out for 6 months, Then re set, I went and worked part time, I did this for 13 years, Chilled out between jobs when I felt my time there was up so moved on to other PT work...mostly cleaning or supervising cleaners. Now retired fulltime...I'm 68 today 😊 🎂 and I find life is great and I enjoy everyday 👍
