You'd think here would be absolutely top of the list and I'd be shocked if he chose anywhere else to be honest!

I think his dad is still coaching at Stoke which may (or may not) work in their favour.

He might think he’s already seen Derby and might fancy getting some experience at a third club.

Don’t know much about him, and whether he’s as good as his reputation suggests, but we will certainly be needing a new striker next season with Gregory’s loan expiring. Think it’s probably just a lazy link because of his time spent here at youth level though.

It's a yes from me. The lad will play for England one day... and he's exactly the kind of striker this team needs (tall, strong, good in the air). It's just a shame he felt that moving to Man City instead of getting some first team experience with us first was a better career move. He'd have gained more experience. We'd have possibly got more in the way of a transfer fee. Oh well. That's football nowadays I guess... the call of big teams and more money is hard to turn down for players (and agents...).
