All the right type of feedback I reckon, just not sure he can do those things with any regularity. Had to laugh when he spoke about his box to box engine! Perhaps a Flymo engine. I'm critical of Bird as I just don't think he fits, but I'd be delighted to see him effect games. As you say, a more advanced role means we need someone like Smith or Rooney to cover. Think Warne wants them to adjust dynamically to cover each rather than have a sitting player. That will take time and good reading of the game to get right. And a settled side. Match Officials Martin Coy will take charge of Saturday's contest and will be assisted by Anthony Da Costa and Marc Wilson. The officiating team is made complete by Lee Freeman, who is on fourth official duties. Coy has been in the middle for just four games so far this season and one in Sky Bet League One. He's handed out 10 yellow cards, one red card and awarded one penalty across those four matches. Not inexperienced at this level been officiating at league one and below since 2017/18 with about 30 games a season. Now the question is if he was any good why has he not been promoted yet. angieram

Once you move up you need to go professional. Maybe he doesn't want to do that. Doesn't mean he isn't excellent at this level. Just surmising. VulcanRam
Anyway, I thought BR looked decent against Wednesday on, er, Wednesday. Defeat or draw on the cards unless we significantly improve from the Exeter showing.
Ambitious
We've gone an entire calendar month without a home win. If we don't win tomorrow, we will go two calendar months without a win. We will only have one opportunity - Sheffield Wednesday - to avoid going three calendar months without a win based on our fixtures. kevinhectoring and jimtastic56 1

Anag Ram
There will be as big a battle in the crowd as on the pitch. Rovers are bringing 3,000 and they will be LOUD. We have to assert authority and cheer the team on, especially at tricky times. Derby need a break. If we can get an early goal it might encourage the players to loosen up a bit and try more adventurous football. angieram, Miggins and Derby4Me 2

I suggest if Connor was captain he would talk an inexperienced ref through the game like John Terry used to do. Often “starstruck “ by ex-prem players refs tend to listen more to complaints.Hourihane has many games under his belt as a captain and players would take a rollicking from him as well.
