From Mel. As a “fan” it’s the least that he can do.

Would you believe him?

How would it improve your state of mind?

A public apology would be the biggest waste of breath since the last time he said anything in public.

Just think about nice stuff.

Regardless as to people wanting to hear from him or not, today was the end of the Morris era in a sporting context. Abysmal failure, an absolute letdown as the custodian to the city’s crowning jewell and coward in the eyes of his fellow Derbarians. He will be a shadow behind the frames of lawyers and accountants as he will still look to salvage lost wealth and there will be no value he attaches to knowing he could do the the right thing, act like a true man of the city and lay the first stone in the pathway of remorse. Morris step up and speak out, don’t be a coward - share your pain on what’s happened to our club and give Wayne & the new owner a chance to lay the foundations of a new era which can dismiss your own to the mists of time.

I’d much rather a public apology from the EFL for their venal, self interested failure to run a fair competition. In addition For their complete and utter lack of  understanding of sportsmanship, ethics , even handed neutrality, integrity and common decency.

Soon as Steve Gibson has written it for them.....
