From reading the Preston Forum, it appears that there is money needs spending on the ground (looks nice, but isn't apparently) & expensive problems with the training facilities

Which reminds me, if CK isn't buying our ground just yet, what about Moor Farm ?

Moor farm is on a long lease like 99 years as it can’t be brought. Also Kieran maguire said on bbc radio derby last night that Preston upped the price at the last minute and he didn’t want to pay it

The Council buying the stadium does seem a sensible option right now. It needn't cost the taxpayer a penny as it's basically a buy to rent option.

The council borrows off the bank at say 3% and the club pays rent to cover the mortgage. I think Mel would sell to the Council to cover loan from MSD but he'd be less likely to let it go so cheap to CK.

If the takeover gets sorted quickly, we will be able to re-sign any players that are willing. I'd guess that we'll have more like 15 players. It'll still need a big rebuild, but at least we should have the core of a squad.

I didn't count the current squad, because I don't rate many of them.

Now I'm concerned about who can be found to buy the stadium as that's not included in Kirchners bid.

The staff need training. It's supposed to be fast food.  Me and my two young'ns have queued for the interity of half time on several occasions and ended up back at our seats empty handed so we don't miss the game. We have started having burgers from one of the vans outside before we go in - that was £18 the club didn't get on Saturday!

Be good if they could actually get some local companies into the ground selling their specialities, such as Stacey's of Ilkeston, renowned for their sausage and savoury rolls and cobs!

I'd rather buy local produce and beers than the rammel we currently get inside (I'm not including the balti pies in that by the way, they are god's own choice?)

Why is the footballing world all of a sudden kicking off about tweets from Kirchner, as someone said before, why wasn't this happening when he was close to taking over Preston?

Are we really that big of a football club that people want to constantly find things to report on us about.

Brian Clough, our hero, Forests hero, statues at both clubs/cities, had some very choice words for a Mr Fashanu, which he openely admitted in a book and interview and said he regretted terribly, not long before Fashanu took his own life.

By the reactions of people we should be tearing down those statues, erasing the memory of his title winning side, banning the Martin Sheen film...but we don't, why?

Partly because the kids of today priobably dont even know that, partly because he said sorry, but mainly because it doesn't fit the narrative of bashing Derby County whilst they are down.

Is the PB allowed to run the club?

(Sell tickets, re-sign players etc)

I thought at end of last year we were thinking that the answer to this question is yes.

NO.  PB gets a chance to look at the books in fine detail (if they can find them). Also gets to negotiate with the creditors.  PB can walk away at any time, so no real authority.  EFL can take the knee off our neck to some extent, but can't see it happening.

Cant see why they have to stick their noses in, he hasnt chopped anybodies heads or hand off has he. At the end of the day dont they get it we could have been liquidated, anybody that can save our club is welcome in my eyes.

Purely because it's what they're paid to do. They'll have discussed what position each was going to take on the matter in the advert breaks, assigned themselves roles. If they were all sat there in agreement with each other nobody would listen. The chances are the stance they take on-air is somewhat removed from the stance they'll have privately.

This isn’t my tweet, but just wanted to acknowledge its sentiment. I think sometimes the online world and forum’s like this can live in a vacuum somewhat and those who trade in the online world (a la Nixon, Percy, Talksport) end up being king or atleast shape the discussion. This is why we have such a scramble for being the first one to release info and everyone getting over excited.

But behind that, Radio Derby have done a very good job. We’ve not always agreed with them, and they’ve not done everything right imo, but they’ve probably been the most consistent for news and what’s going on. What we thought in September is very different to what we know now and they’ve had to learn and inform as they went along with everyone else. Ed has always been ahead of the news throughout and worked tirelessly to do so. Chris Coles is very highly thought of anyway and has kept the debate sensible. Those Rams Daily podcasts/sportscene has been largely excellent at keeping the fanbase informed. Also the recent reintroduction of Colin Gibson as an experienced media pro has been welcome and a positive move.

Maguire has always been willing to talk, and whilst he’s splits many of us, I do think he’s been doing it to help football fans understand what’s going on. I have to admit my opinion of him has done a complete 180.

So yeah, I just think they deserve a bit of appreciation for the work they’ve put in so far, from somewhere they wouldn’t expect it from.

I've been meaning to ask for quite a while now... but I'm easily distracted!

Serious question... If Q are the "joint administrators", as they keep being referred as, who are the others?  Who are they "jointed" with?

What's that all about?  ?‍♂️

Prob some little minion tasked by the EFL to dig around* - can't have things going right for Derby County can we.

*my opinion only based on, well, nothing.
