All pitch invasions should be banned and anybody encroaching should immediately get a lifetime ban and 4 weeks in prison. see how many come on to the pitch then?

The thing with pitch invasions are, clubs remind fans not to enter the pitch, it’s a criminal offence, then they use images with fans on the pitch as promotional material. Here’s Bournemouth using one to sell season tickets.

They are either serious about clamping down on it, or not.

Is the 'we told them not to do it' a kind of legal get out if anything goes badly wrong? Like if Sharp tried to sue the Red Dogs for his injury sustained on their pitch? You know a kind of 'the water in this tap might be hot' sticker over the hot tap.

Do you think it protects McBurnie for allegedly kicking the poop out of the Forest fan....

Pretty much.

I think it’s sad that they need to come down heavy on clubs now and show they are serious about keeping fans off the pitch.

The mindless thugs like the one at the City Ground the other night ruin that release of emotion that 99% can do without endangering the safety of the players and staff.

When clubs are struggling to keep pyrotechnics out the grounds, it is only a matter of time until a weapon finds it’s way in and used on a player if things don’t change.

The PL and EFL can’t let that happen, and if this headbutt doesn’t provoke some serious punishments, be it points deductions or forfeiting of games, I would be surprised. It has to be high up on the agenda over the summer.

Wouldn't surprise me....  That said I think Kirchner may have totally misjudged this thinking Mel would buckle which hw won't.

Had Kirchner have thought this through properly he would have paid 25p in £ the non football creditors and used the other 10p in the £ to help fund the purchase of the stadium.

It all still seems in doubt to me...

Catching up after being at work and you are still banging on, please just find a dark corner to sit in, rock back and forwards for a bit chanting your bol ox to yourself because you clearly like the sound of your own voice!

Why, though, was Kirchner's bid in November ever rejected, £61m that included Pride Park, later to be underbid by the Binnies, Appleby and Ashley at £28m minus Pride Park? And this raged on for a further four months. Kirchner's parting statement in December was: "Only getting worse as player contracts expire, club becomes much less valuable without the proper moves in January." Adding, "he had 'very little engagement with Quantuma'."

Then we had the Boro debacle to add, a further £4m loan from Dell, many players gone, no contracts able to be signed, and, ultimately, relegation because we could not add to the squad. Other than that, I agree, a great job by Quantuma – £3.8m costs and rising.

Comms could have been better, sure they could, at £650 an hour for just one member of staff to say hi.

No thanks, I hope no other club ever have them as administrators.

The bid was about £60M over 2 years and Quantuma said they weren’t in a position to accept.  This infers that, at that time, he wasn’t the highest bidder.  And none of the bids included the stadium at that point (Binniesxin Jan, for example, was about £28M excluding PP).

They had legal advice from three parties re: Boro.  As they are appointed by the courts they can’t go against that advice without good reason.  That came after the EFL insisted they comply with their policy, regardless as to whether this was compliant with the law.

The lastest estimate of their fees was around £2.1M, assuming completion this month.  This was issued a few weeks ago so I don’t know where you get £3.8M from??  And £2.1M is less than Wigan’s which was just under £2.3M.  This was for a similar time period with no spurious claims, less debt and included the stadium making it a simpler and more attractive proposal to a potential purchaser.

When Gerald Krasner (Wigan’s administrator) was on Radio Derby a month or so ago he was asked if he would do anything different and could Quantuma be criticised.  Other comms he said no given the complexity of the case.  He said he would have tried to whet the stadium company in administration but, ultimately, that was up to MM.

“The Reds have seemingly played a blinder here.”

Yeah. Like picking the pocket of a heart attack victim. Opportunism and greed at our expense. What a blinder. Well done, everyone.
