agree. i cant help thinking we’ll get our points deduction after weve played every club once. that way when rooney starts playing kids in perpetration for league 1, the clubs whove played us cant complain about us fielding weaken teams

That is a good point but its also another example of the EFL protecting their own position at the expense of Derby, the points deduction and the amount of time the EFL have allowed it to drag on, even with the appeal, have done nothing to aid Derby securing a new owner. If what has been reported is true and the Bidders for the club are not put off by the points deduction then we should consider ourselves fortunate that the club might survive, despite the actions of the EFL

Player wages budget of £15.775 million and max 25 permitted players to the end of the season ... How does that compare to where we are now? The definition of player is now someone who has played 3 league matches at Champ level or higher.

It seems to apply only until the end of this season.

So can we all agree now that MM has totally shafted the club?

He took on the EFL and they check-mated him, leaving him with the only option of administration

Now the Administrators have had to accept the deal that MM was refusing - because it was the only way they could move the club sale forward. The only other option was liquidation

Can't help thinking that if MM had just accepted the 9 point deduction, we could have avoided administration and stood a chance of staying up

“Given the complex circumstances of the case and the various outstanding regulatory issues between the EFL and Derby County, the League is satisfied at the agreed outcome and the sensible approach taken by both parties in negotiating this outcome and in respect of the appeal withdrawal. Our focus is to continue to work with the Joint Administrators to assist them in securing a long-term future for the Club.”
