The question is do Gibson and the other person really want to be the people who ensured Derby are liquidated? We know how we got to this point but those claims seem to be the sticking point in our survival. Now the momentum on this is building a little do they really want that backlash for them and their clubs?

Well as has been said on another thread,, if Boro claim is a "football creditor" in the eyes of EFL, it ranks higher than the HMRC claim.

So even if it doesn't bring about liquidation , it could lead to HMRC getting less money. All this from champagne socialist Gibson. What a hypocrite.

This is and has been the crux of the matter all along.

If the EFL came out and said the claims aren't as a 'football creditor' until proven then things would look different!

TBH I don’t think they would give it a second thought.

DCFC would be gone and they would carry on. Won’t have actually lost anything themselves.

And would there really be a backlash?

Can’t see anyone in the national media currently investigating the veracity/legality of the claims - too interested in the PL.

Have DET even expressed an opinion or are they just regurgitating tweets/articles they find online as usual?

I still don't think Gibson took this action expecting to actually get any money out of it (or certainly not £45m) - he's all about proving his point (on how wronged boro were) and punishing Derby (because the efl did not punish us to his satisfaction).

So, ideally, like the sale of PP, a ruling of total vindication of DCFC wuld be nice.

Looks like Ashley taking a pragmatic approach to the various Derby t/o issues to see how much the total cost amounts to solving them all, then taking a view as to whether he'll run with it. Sounds like a sensible way forward.

Yeah. That's probably the actual best way forward.

I just don't want Gibson to claim it as victory.

So he doesn't want the money then? His point is noted, why hasn't he backed off? And Wycombe?
