Isn’t this the time of night some journo normally posts yet another bad news story about us? Where’s tonight’s edition? “Derby set to be LIQUIDATED after EFL accept Billy Sharp £100m damages claim after fans called him a nonce”

To be fair Sharpe would have a more credible case than Boro do.

Just seen this.

Middlesbrough and Stoke also face severe scrutiny as Covid-inflicted collapse in transfer values makes it impossible to offset FFP losses

God I hope it's true for gobson and his oh so perfect 'boro.

Finally the reason for their ludicrous claim against us is out. They haven't got a pot to piss in either and are desperate.

Sources have echoed Jordan's comments by telling DerbyshireLive the £45m figure being reported has no foundation and that no such figure has been discussed.

Sources also tell us that Middlesbrough have not asked the EFL for backing in the matter, but that it is a matter that needs to be rectified.

Oh course, Middlesbrough don't need backing from the EFL, just tacit approval, or at least non-intervention.

The EFL are not going to take a public position of supporting Boro or Wycombe's actions, but a lack of a position against them amounts to implied approval.

Even if the EFL had no technical means of interference, a statement to the effect that they believe punitive actions relating to ffp breachers are the purview of EFL disciplinary procedures would change the complection.

The EFL are General Franco,  the other two are volunteers to help the Russian front and we're the Soviet Union.  Expect Gibsons U boats to spotted by drone in Parry's garden any day now.

That's a great example of how poor the DET is these days. The writer obviously meant "remedied", unless they felt that Boro really should seek the EFL's backing ?
