I remain struck by how Kirchner wasn't going to buy the stadium, so Clowes was going instead having to fork out the other £50million+. I'm glad the stadium deal, which had become such a complicated part of the whole financials with MM buying it off the club previously, ended up not being a stumbling block here.

So much unusual expense in these initial accounts, but it looks as though DC has done an amazing initial job of stabilizing the club, while keeping us competitive at the level we find ourselves. Forever grateful.

I flagged this and got slated by the Kirchner blind faithers.  I was even accused of potentially be the cause of anyone who may comit suicide.  It was obvious from the off something wasnt right, yet he duped the EFL and Quantuma.....  Thank god he didn't pull it off....

Is Kirschner still in prison?

I agree. Maguire, of course, goes for traffic-generating clickbait headline "highlights" without bothering to add context. That £19M repaid debt looks awfully like MM's loan from Dell, and the payment inherited football debt that wasn't due during the time of administration (Bielek and Jozwiak primarily I imagine) will probably have been paid off during the period covered by these accounts.

In the meantime, the usual bell-sniffs from other clubs will continue to show how dumb they are.

It's got Wycome fans all worked up and showing their dumbness. I was thinking of going over there to correct them but van't be bothered.

I like the poster celebrating their last minute equaliser and how it has derailed our play off push 😂

The £19m is in addition to the loan which appears to have been circa £24m.

The £19m would have been made up of the circa £7m paid to HMRC, the football creditors, plus a little bit to the other creditors.

Absolute b******. Every Derby fan should treat this Bamford as an enemy of our club.

I've just had a bizarre personal message interchange here following me pulling him up on his Twitter post about the club owing MM in excess of £200m, which is demonstrably incorrect.

His defence was that he was just repeating what some journalists had told him and he was skepitcal about the figure.

I've pointed out that there is information available in the public domain which poo poos his claim and how amazed I am that a 'football finance expert' is making claims which he must know to be untrue if he actually has any understanding of the situation.

£200 million owing to MM, by THE Club  wouldn’t such a significant figure be listed fully detailed in the clubs accounts 😂😂😂

A liability !!!

What a strange individual he is, one might thing he's a narcissist. I don't want to knock teachers but on this occasion it shows the difference between teachers and professionals.

£200 million in loans to MM would be the previous business. Nothing to do with the new company set up by David Clowes. To be fair to MM though, he did write off a huge amount of £ he "Loaned" to the club.

MM chased the dream of getting us into the Prem, using a massive proportion of his personal wealth in the process. It’s a shame he didn’t surround himself with an experienced team, in relation to both recruitment and coaching staff. Some of the money wasted on inappropriate transfers and paying off failed managers would be like winning the lottery in our current situation.

The administrators report confirmed it was exactly £6,264,636.50 paid to HMRC (25%).

MSD loan was £22m.

Football creditors totalled £8.85m, but I understand this would have been later reduced to about £7.5m (Lech accepting less for Jozwiak). This had to be paid in full.

There was £3.1m of unsecured creditors. A minimum of 25% had to be paid, so just shy of £800k (bur could be anything up to an including the full amount)

My total is £36.6m (if minimum paid to unsecured creditors). Note, Clowes accounts state an extraordinary cost (purchase of DCFC) OF £36.6m.

What on Earth are you on about?

hes a university professor who specialises in sports finance and we were an incredibly ‘interesting’ case in that respect in terms of the amortisation policy and the overspending.

honestly were not that important enough for someone like him to hate us.

You're overstating him slightly, he's an accountancy teacher. Professor he most certainly isn't, expert in football finance only in his own head.

So. The accounts and how much has been spent v squad worth should be a stark reminder to those who DEMAND instant success.  Blame recruitment if you want, but the plain fact is Clowes is running this club sustainably.  I take my hat off to you sir. Especially after the previous farce

Is a £6.8m loss over 9 months sustainable?

Book value is not the same as worth. The squad had a £3.3m book value when Clowes took us out of admin - we later sold 2 players for the majority of that figure. When you add on the minimum fees expected for the like sof Cashin and Bird, then our total squad worth is significantly higher than it's book value.

After seeing the figures for the 9 month period, it's now reasonable to assume we'll have the highest wage bill in the league this season. Clowes will be expecting promotion from such outlay, so it's reasonable for fans to expect promotion too.
