Council leader and Mel Morris will be involved in Friday meetings with administrator.

Leader stressing that Morris 'does want to do the right thing by the club'.

Also said a journalist would be there - firstly, wonder who that is (probably Steve Nicolson) and secondly, one way or another there'll be some news!

Maguire banging on about the stadium over and over and Jim Wheeler is basically saying, I think,  he is talking out of his bottom. The stadium is not the issue.

Maguire totally embarrasiing. He is talking absolute BS.

Problem with Maguire is he’s declared himself expert in the field of football finance so many times, over so many interviews, so many people have been taken in and give him credibility.

Its brilliant way of authenticating yourself or position, if you say something, over and over, people start to believe you’re the best; yet really he’s just lining his pocket and half the time talks absolute garbage.

If Appleby has matched the Binnie bid plus the stadium then Mike Ashley if interested has got what he wanted to happen, a clear view of what he needs to beat.

It still depends on which particular way these 3 bids are going to tell ‘Boro and Wycombe to GTFO. The bid with the most cash isn’t necessarily the ‘best’ one.

Why is the clown invited on, he must take some responsibility for where we are…..leave him out in the cold….

The noise so far has been amazing. We will survive and the EFL will get their way and stop us adding to our squad. They have delayed because Gibson is holding them to ransom.

The noise needs to come when we have new owners. That's when to hit the EFL.

Join forces with brum, reading and go for the EFL.

Maguire said that we owe MSD £25m. How does the club owe £25m to MSD when his loan is secured against the stadium which is owned by Mel?

Loan is guaranteed by G 202   And quite possible the liabilities were shunted around in late 2021 when the funding framework agreement was signed

Because that is exactly the way Morris organised it (well the first £20m). He probably had hoped that additional funding from MSD would be unnecessary, but they do appear to be extending further loans to the Club post-Adminstration, presumably with the agreement of Morris.

He's hardly just a 'self declared expert' That's a label that would be more aptly applied to most of us?

https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/management/staff/kieran-maguire/

It's rather contradictory to argue that he doesn't know what he's talking when, according to other posters, he's to blame for tipping the EFL off about our non straight line amortisation policy when there accountants hadn't spotted it themselves! Can't really have it both ways can we?

We're all unhappy about the situation the club is in but blaming Maquire is nothing more than shooting the messenger. Mel Morris got us into this mess - no-one else.

His Price of Football podcast (with Kevin Day) is a good listen if you're at all interested in the business/finance side of the game. Having listened to most of them, the only 'agenda' him and Kevin Day have got is that they want to see clubs run in a financially sustainable manner and better governance across football has a whole. What's not to like? He's one of the good guys.
