Points deduction incoming?

Exactly, we need to weigh it up and think what would be best.

If we were to take 3 points but be able to end the saga and sign players, we'd definitely fancy our chances of staying in the division.

If we were to take a 9 point penalty, I think it would be a difficult task to stay up even if we could sign more players.

With 5 days to go until the end of the transfer window we are not going to be signing anyone of note in all reality and there is no indication that there is any money to spend either.

Ooooo how exciting for Mel.....do you take the 9 points so that you can try and move on with selling the club with prospective buyers eyeing the fact then we will be playing in League 1 next season or go for the smaller points deduction with the likelihood that things will be dragged out even further and any potential sale put on hold.... squeaky bum time or what.

Feeling it’ll be -6 points and move on

Anything more than 3 and we'll keep fighting I think. It all relates to the EFL originally signing off the accounts and us signing players based on the previously approved accounts. If they'd challenged it first time around, we wouldn't have signed furthering players leading to an FFP breach.

Or Percy is extrapolating from the fact that the restated P&S have gone in and there will be announcements - he's gambling with clickbait. No-one will remember or care if he's wrong, they'll just say 'well we expected them to fail, can't believe they didn't' or some such.

Or every other supporter will believe we have changed the verdict if there is one

I'm probably missing something, but I don't see how you can file 2020 accounts without the 2019 accounts being signed off as well.

The end position for 2019 is the starting position fo 2020.

I agree that opening balances need to be on the 2020 submission, but as I have had to do recently you can always restate prior years so that would not be an impediment to putting any opening balance in as long as the auditor signed them off.

The problem is that the club still won't say what is going on....we had the meeting a few weeks ago where there was effectively a restriction on fully reporting it (and we still don't know what was said in detail) and they have then said nothing about our accounts, not even confirming they were delivered.

The squad is trying it's best out there but the club just isn't helping itself.

And that's before we start on the efl.

Basically an ongoing **** show.

Just wondering whether Percy is getting a bit of his own back on Mel. Afterall he looked a bit of a twit with his reporting on our takeover business! That must have come from Mel/DCFC? Payback time?

Or maybe Mel is incompetent and presiding over a shambles.

Yes it’s this.

We’ve been fined and complied with submitting our accounts on time therefore we’ve satisfied to terms of our punishment.

Whether we have broken FFP as a result of our accounts being refilled is a separate issue and will in no way result in the suspended 3 points fine being implemented.

If John Percy knows if our new submitted accounts are in breach then he should say so. They either do or don’t anything else is speculation. This story is basically a preview of the talking points surrounding the 99th edition of El Cloughico.
