Assuming Barnsley and Peterborough are gonners, the important games are us vs Cardiff x2 and us vs reading.

canr believe one of Barnsley’s victories was against us, but it doesn’t really matter, in an alternative universe we beat them and lost to Bournemouth and were still ahead of them. We’ll be ahead of them at the end of the season.

we’ve just got to keep matching or bettering reading and cardiff’s results, which doesn’t look too difficult as long as they continue to be as crap as they are, and then win our games against them. And we should be absolutely fine.

Us v Reading would that be home or away. Home we won 1-0 and away we drew 2-2.

The form table makes for excellent reading as well.

Over the last 6 games, Derby are fourth with 13 points taken.

The four teams around us - Reading, Barnsley, Cardiff, and Peterborough - are also the four worst form sides over the same period (in that order - Reading have taken just one point).

If we still have a club to support, I genuinely think we'll stay up ?

Great that this thread has been started up. We do have a chance definitely!!

It can all change but I’m starting to think our focus should be on Peterborough and Cardiff. At the moment Reading look like they’re gone. They have the players it’s the other side of it. Looks like a sinking ship from the outside similar to Wednesday last season though they had a late resurgence. A manager change could rectify all that however. Losing Carroll is a blow but Joao is fit again.  Could do with them losing Swift and Ejaria on Monday.

Apparently the Reading players are just walking around in matches so not losing some players might help !

It’s now in our hands, win the next 3 games and we are out of the bottom three.

Hate to rain on your parade on this day of optimism and enthusiasm but it’s not strictly true that it’s now in our hands. It’s only “in our hands” IF Reading fail to pick up more than one point from their next two and Peterborough fail to pick up more than three points from their next three.

Win today and many more people will be begin to believe that the great escape really could be on. COYR.

No rain today, you need to look at the fixtures, Reading and Peterborough don’t play until the day after we have played three games.
