This is an astounding piece of music, with an extra slice of local Derby history for those interested

Here’s the original:

Thanks Tuff Luff. I heard this last week and tried unsuccessfully to put a link on. You have saved me the trouble.

Beautiful isn’t it?

Yeah I’ve had it on repeat over the weekend, I’m not floored by music that often but I’m completely floored by the song.

I know we had a thread on derbyshire folk music a couple of years ago and can’t remember if it was ever brought up in that but glad to have found a piece of local music. Will be looking more into Dave Sudbury’s work through that song

Just gave Rocket from the Crypt - Circa: Now! a spin, such a great LP. If you are in to 90s alternative/punk then well worth a listen.

Saw them at Rescue Rooms a couple years back and they were fantastic. One of the best live gigs in recent memory.

Ha great thanks Angie some good tracks on that album and fantastic you knew it - just off to YouTube for a replay of ‘Bairstow Blue Eyes’ and I really should get a deck so I can play the original

The first time i heard this piece, it was a short version played by Staffan Scheija.  His touch and timing were impeccable and i found other versions greatly inferior until i stumbled onto this full version.  Exquisite.

We all need a bit of calmness in the hectic pace of our days.  Sit or lay comfortably and let this do it's magic.
