As already said, he absolutely rinsed Cashin for pace on multiple occasion

Won’t have pleased Cashin’s agent, at this particular point in time.

I was thinking the same as I listened to the match. Can’t last ditch tackle a lad if they’re 5 yards in front of you!

Draws are not great in this league, but an away draw at a solid team is not an issue if it's sandwiched between victories. Let's finish off January with a couple of wins and we'll be in a great position.

Exactly. Can’t expect to win every game so 10 wins in 13 is a pretty good return. We just need to make sure it doesn’t turn into something like 12 wins out of 18.

Especially against a lad effectively playing park football just 2 years ago. Like I said, he cost Peterborough £5k, it shows the talent is still out there in non league.

Dread what the reaction would have been on here if we'd lost yesterday's game....

Cashin is a great tackler and hits a super diagonal , but his lack of pace has been evident since he broke into the team . He needs a quick defender along side him . He could end up playing defensive midfield . Remember the Championship is even faster.

Morning reflections, a decent game if you’re a neutral, but we’re not 😊.  They were very organised, change in manager is probably starting to bear fruit for them.  They were very dangerous on the counter and, arguably, could have won.  But so could we.  Most disappointing thing was we didn’t take 1 decent corner.  They must have been our worst in a game this season given how many we had.

Elder’s had a bit of stick recently but I thought he did OK.  A gradual improvement and I don’t think a stop-start season has helped him. He looks like one of those players that needs 6-8 games to get going.

We won’t win every game and an away point is always a good point.  Tho could be vital come May.

True but I also can’t fathom our tactics at corners. How can it be a good idea to all take the same space? They stand together like cattle. They are in each other’s way. Let’s at least try one running to the near post and one at the back post.

There’s also the opportunity to play the ball to the edge of the box where at least we might get a shot in.

All looks too predictable and defendable.

I thought the same during the match. It works at times, Collins running to the near post for that one he scored at Fleetwood, Nelson has benefitted a couple of times, but I’d like to see some variety, there’s seemingly never anyone between the 18 and 6 yard lines. We leave a Hourihane or Sibley outside the box for the potential long range effort then crowd everyone else into the 6 yard box each time, we’ve been fairly successful with it this season and I think we’d have even more success with some variety on our corner routine.

He's only 21, so as posters said of Dobbin give him a chance. But more pertinent why aren't we picking them up or are we, and aren't playing them? Is Weston as fast? 😉

I watch quite a bit of football on TV, It was only earlier in the season that I found out that some/all EPL clubs employ a free kick/corner coach, I thought fcuking hell where are we going with the game, A coach for this a coach for that a coach for away games 😁 then the penny dropped, Arsenal Vs Palace on MOTD, 3 goals Arsenal scored from corners, 2 from Arsenals corners and 1 from a Palace corner.

Players it looks like need to be coached on how to take a corner, Mix it up, Change your positions, Confuse the defenders and not your own players.

Have we a specialist coach in this field?

Yes. But we’re told there are PL teams interested.  I can’t imagine a recruiting team at a PL club recommending they sign a player who gets skinned like that in Div1. Taylor is rapid but no more than most PL strikers

Its not like he was particularly tricky either,  he just ran past him.

It's not something I'd imagine you can develop that much either through practice.

Love Cashin, so strong,  so much heart, good passer, great in the air. But again a lot of that is endeavour rather than natural ability.

Didn't look much different to Jake Buxton yesterday.  Premier League looks a world away with display like that.

Not that I'm overly bothered, I'd prefer him to stay.

Big Darren Moore was probably the slowest CB that I've seen, but because of his excellent reading of the game, it rarely seemed to be an issue at Derby and elsewhere. You just don't get into the situation where you're in a sprint against a speedy forward, you block him off legally or illegally.
