How much do we still owe Arsenal?? Surely we should have, at the very least, instigated a bidding war to cover what we owe!!! Very poor negotiating in my book.... Hope its not still Stephen Pearce at the centre of it all!!?? Hard to have a bidding war with only one interested party apparently. The repayments to arsenal were factored into this year's budget, so all or most of the fee and wage savings are all available to the club to spend. And yes Stephen Pearce deals with transfer and contact negotiations. Edited June 27, 2023 by Rambalin jimtastic56
Nuwtfly
If he doesn’t to be here, that’s more than enough reason to let him go. Wantaway players don’t get you promoted. Tell me, Mino Raiola, how we go about creating a bidding war for a player with a history of two ACLs, is known not to want to play for us, has 1 year left on his contract and the whole footballing world knows we literally can’t afford to have to pay his wages this season? The fact he’s gone permanently for money and not just on loan is astounding business. DiggerB, BigTravIsGod, RoyMac5 and 7 others 3
Jourdan
I don’t see what more the club could have done here. We haven’t had any leverage where Bielik is concerned for a while now. We are obviously trying to make the best of an extremely bad situation. If the fee is £1 million, then it’s a small victory. archram and Premier ram 1

jimtastic56
Good news - Beilik has just managed 2 whole laps of the centre circle as part of his medical with Brum. Not much to do now , just pray it goes through ok and it frees up £25k a week.

Simmo’s left foot
It might not free up £25k a week, It might just mean the club is not paying out £25k a week that causes a loss each year….

The £400k will come from the Brum side as that's the minimum they'll pay. jimtastic56 and Carnero 1

Yeah it'll be something along the lines of £400k plus £200k per 25 appearances (up to 75). jimtastic56

Carnero
Thank goodness he's no longer our problem. If he stays fit then he might just help push Birmingham up to the dizzy heights of 14th next season.
