Song for our new era.

The ones that work are the random ones, not aligned to the club in too much way but just an overall singalong that has somehow stuck. Starting to find a tune with super meaningful lyrics, or one to charge up the fans just never - imho - really works.

Blue Moon / Blowing Bubbles / Z Cars / Mull Of Kintyre / Annies Song / even You'll Never Walk Alone. They are random by their very nature and that is what, to me, makes them endearing - it is also what makes SBW so cheesy and contrived. It just tries too hard.

I know he's a Brummy but hasn't Roy Wood from Wizzard lived in Derbyshire for years.

He's done everything he can to keep his Xmas track going, even so far as duetting with the wombles, so I'm sure we could get him to re-write that for us. Everyone knows the tune.

Maybe get him, the guy from 1D, the guy from Blur and whoever else to form a supergroup. Must be able to do something using Cox, Wizz and a Hor?

Was a regular in the Fat Cat Cafe….really nice guy.

Progress Presents The Boy Wunda - Everybody.

DJ Rob Webster was a Derby lad and was featured on TOTP with this, back in the day.

But basically it's just the intro to Papa Don't Preach.

Dunno about a walk out song long term, but if all goes well then at some point I want George Ezra Green green grass a little before the first match.

Purely for the chorus: "Green green grass, blue blue sky, you better throw a party on the day that I die" Always think of Derby when I hear that.

I agree about this song, I think it has to be our anthem at away grounds sung with the same enthusiasm as at Blackpool.

Saxon Battering ram

Come worship at the Pride Park church
Let your voices rise as one
Stand before the barricades
Prepare yourself for what's to come
These walls will resonate tonight (today)
To the sound of screaming hordes
Decibels will rise above
As we get on the ball
Are you ready to begin
Then let the hammer fall
Like a battering ram

Love Biff Byford. Best thing to come out of Barnsley since the A628.

'Do you hear the people sing' in Les Miserables is a rousing song! Someone on here could put a DCFC slant on it. UTR!

I'll give it a go...

Do you hear the people sing?
Noo-o, Noo-o
Do you hear the people sing?
Noo-o, Noo-o
Do you hear the people sing?
I can't hear a duckin' thing!
Whoa-o-o-o
.................. DERBY!

Think it's been suggested before but Baby, I Love You (changed to Derby) by the Ramones, is a class song and second verse fits in well to bellow the last few lines.  With a couple of other tweaks to the lyrics.

I can't live without you
I love everything about you
I can't help it if I feel this way

(De, Der, De, Der, Der Der Der Der Der Der)

Oh I'm so glad I found you
I want my arms around you
I love to hear you sing my name

Oh tell me that you feel
Tell me that you feel
Tell me that you feel the same

Derby, I love you, come on Derby
Derby I love you
Derby I love, I LOVE ONLY YOU

Okay, I won't give up the day job, Best Regards
