So Ashley has come in , balls on table with a no strings attached offer and will see Gibson and Couhig in Court. Which has upset Gibson no end. ITG (In the Guess). Seems like my guess might be correct! Kathcairns, Derbados, r_wilcockson and 2 others 2

Ramos
I'm actually all for this. Think he will run the club well - what we need after the last 5 years. can’t wait till he gives Rooney a 10 year deal Edited January 7, 2022 by Ramos
rammieib
Oh god - yet more delays with Ashley now appearing interested. No thanks at all to him. Can anyone find anything good he did in Newcastle? Rammy03

The downside would be if he decided to throw all the good stuff that has been achieved by Rooney and Co this season. He does at least have the funds to take on Wycombe and Boro if he chooses to. Rammy03
If it's Ashley or the club dies then obviously we go with Ashley. But I don't believe the situation is like that. I firmly believe we will have an owner. If that is the case, then I'd rather it not be Ashley. Newcastle fans have warned us. He may well get the club stable but then what? Years of mediocrity, awful player recruitment and managerial appointments. GenBr, RamontheMoor and Ramslad1992
Topram
I actually think Ashley would do all he can to get us back to the premier league we’d be worth more to him then Carnero, r_wilcockson, Ellafella and 13 others 14

Caerphilly Ram
Multiple sources reporting Ashley is in with a bid could mean there is some truth to it. I know he wasn’t popular at Newcastle, however he has the wealth and the experience to steady this particular sinking ship. If he is able to deliver some stability and security after years of the Morris rollercoaster I’d take that. Kathcairns and Derby4Me 1
DCFC1388
Dont mind Ashley coming in but he could have done it sooner rather than when we are on the verge of announcing the preferred bidder so now causing more delays
