Derby County v West Bromwich Albion 3:00pm Pride Park Monday 27th Dec 2021

Home against the baggies for a 3pm kick off on Sky Sports Main Event.

Can the Rams keep Inverurie Ram going into 2022?

Will this game be on? Will the preferred bidder be chosen? Will Santa have been good to us all?

Fortunately, they are a team that we have done better against in the past.

Hopefully the players and fans and everyone at D.C.F.C. will carry on to give their all and a positive result can be achieved.

Got a name check in the Dave Grohl autobiography I read last week as did The Wonder Stuff another band with a Derby link.

Anyone no why West Brom only had 11,000 at there last home game.  If it wasn't some sort of odd reason, that's pretty dog poo for a team that were 3rd in the table?

Their forum reckons it was more like 21,000, so assume it was a typo.

Similarly, our attendance for the Bournemouth game was misreported as about 2,500, when it was over 20,000, and a number of websites have used that in calculating our average.

If this game is off I wonder if single match tickets will be refunded. I can imagine quite a few fans visiting family over Christmas will have purchased tickets for this game and wouldn’t be able to attend the rearranged match.

I've always been under the impression that refunds have always been available right up to kick off, for match day tickets, whatever the reason (which you don't have to give them), and whether the original game has been moved/postponed/closed to public or not.  (The latter may well be auto refund.  Any other reason, you'd have to specifically ask for a refund).

If you can get to the ticket office, there's no need to "offer my tickets to someone on the internet, at face value, as I can't now make it to the game".  Just take them back and get a refund.  Today, tomorrow, or an hour before kick off!

Same applies to moving seats (to sit with other friends/family etc)... subject to seat availability, of course.

Needs checking of course, as I'm just a bloke on the internet... and apologies if I'm wrong!  ?

I’m terms of ‘difficult games against the top 6 teams in the division’, this is a good time to be playing one. We got a good win against another struggler in the last game, despite missing lots of players. West Brom have been poor for a while too, their style of play has become less and less effective and their fans are growing restless.

Wont be an easy game and we still don’t know who will or won’t be available, but our chances are slightly higher.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go with something like this:

Allsop

Byrne   Jagielka   Davies   Forsyth

Festy   Knight   Bird   Shinnie   Lawrence

Plange

Subs: Roos, Stearman, Williams, Tommo, Ravel, Jozwiak, Kazim

Yep, go with that with the full backs as traditional full backs…

Yes shame Thompson can’t get in ATM   but we need Shinnie against Livermore and can’t drop the other two.
I hope Bird plays a bit further forward like he did against Blackpool. He has a killer pass in him.

If West Brom play like they did at Barnsley on Friday night I expect us to beat them.

However, the after effects of Covid on our players is a concern. I've got a couple of mates who play football & have had Covid earlier this year & they both say their fitness has suffered even months afterwards
