Evidence of what?

You said quote I'm sure the missing fans will miraculously return next week and so will the moans and groans when we dont score in the first 10 minutes unquote.

What facts are you in possession of that makes you so sure of your belief.

What is farcical about it?

If it is so farcical that you decided not to go to the first 2 games, what has changed that made you buy a ticket for the Forest game?

It’s farcical if you haven’t got a printer, internet access or a smart phone. As I have put on another thread, the impact our shambolic ticketing policy is having on a certain demographic of our support is far greater than people on here seem to realise. If we had sold our season tickets before the season, like every other club, and issued season ticket cards then I think we would have another couple of thousand at least on the gate.

Other factors, such as the club not communicating properly with fans and the absolute shambles that it has become has certainly disenfranchised a lot of people.

I am quite enjoying the back to the wall siege mentality personally and am enjoying the greater bond between players and fans and the recognition of where we are as a club and the greater effort on display. I am sure that more will return once we have new owners but fear that COVID combined with mismanagement will have cost us more who will never return.

My ticket is already more that my 19/20 one and that is with three games less and multi season discount. Not being loaded it then means I had to wait for the tickets to become available and then opt for the Direct Debit option to pay. I couldn’t let the Forest one slip by so I forked out for it separately.

I hope my reasons for non attendance against Huddersfield and Boro outlined above, meets with your approval.

For the last 4 or 5 seasons we've had a couple of blokes sitting immediately behind us who have moaned and whinged at virtually every game. Back in our usual seats today for the first time this season and they're still there but I think my view on them has mellowed which I have to admit has somewhat surprised me.

The Club has gone through a dreadful couple of seasons yet they've paid their money yet again. They were more subdued than usual so I'm hoping this sets their standard for the rest of the season.

It's clear what your insinuation is and that anyone who hasn't for example been to today's game but does turn up for the Forest match is a plastic fan or a part time supporter and yet you cannot know the personal circumstances of everyone who wasn't able to go to today's game but will be able to go against Forest.

Each fan will have their own reason, you can’t point the finger at one issue and say that’s it.

I haven’t renewed my 19/20 season ticket, simply as I can’t afford it with a wedding on the horizon. With petrol, parking, food and drink it’s not a cheap day out, we will have to pick and choose our games as and when we can.

I don’t get the argument that the atmosphere has been great, we don’t need the extra fans as it would bring more negativity in the stadium, I’m not a negative person at all.

The South Stand has been 95% full, absolutely no reason why they can’t continue the cracking support so far whilst filling the rest of PP.

I’m sure everyone must be aware that tickets are a large percentage of our revenue, whilst many will have paid for their tickets last year, we need Pride Park packed.

If performances continue as they have been and we see positive results, hopefully it won’t be long before the numbers start to increase.

As much as I feel sympathy for anyone that fits into them categories, I would imagine that it is probably about 1% of fans.

Its not a DCFC specific problem its the society we live in, we all crave cheaper prices and unfortunately it comes at the cost of human input.

Not sure if crowds are down everywhere, butter drop in support though the gate is a bit alarming. Have we lost 1000s for good? Will we get back to over 20k when the season tickets are sold? Got to be a concern. This team I feel would benefit from the encouragement you get from passionate vocal support.

I’m not sure if you were at the game but it was a fantastic atmosphere today.

At both half time and full time it was as if we had won/ were winning !

You don't need to worry about there not being passionate support - it was there in absolute spades today. And the team certainly benefitted from it. There’s a bit of Dunkirk spirit going on I think, amongst both the fans and the players. And to be sure, the players deserved that support today - there was a passion and togetherness about them all that was fantastic to see. On top of that there was some really good football from our lads and they stood up and refused to be bullied by that anti-football team led by the Chief Anti-football Manager.

I'm not sure what you are finding so farcical? The fact the price has gone up? Move to cheaper seats.

You let the Huddersfield and Boro tickets slip by but couldn't let the Forest one slip by? Why is that?

You don't need my approval, just my opinion on people who find excuses not to go to some games but then forget about it when the Forest game comes around.

No not at all. Just saying I'm not missing the moans and groans.

Will be interesting to see how many of those unable to come all of a sudden become able to come again next week though.

Again your comment does suggest that those not able to come are the moaners and groaners! Havent been to a home game yet but doesnt mean i sit moaning and groaning. Hate all this we're the best fans type of nonsense

It's a bit more than a day out mate.  It's your bloody wedding day, for God's sake!

Oh... erm...

Read into my comments what you want, I certainly haven't said what you are implying.

I don't think I'm any different to any other fan, if they pay their money they are equally entitled to their opinion as I am.

Just saying it is very noticeable that we are now at at the level of fans where the support is extremely positive.

Maybe it is down to the situation, maybe it is down to the fact that the moaners are staying away. Whatever the reason, it is a much more enjoyable atmosphere to be in.

This. The statement was quite clear in its delivery which was the broadbrush generalisation that true supporters are the ones who have been turning up so far and are the ones, being true supporters, that don't say anything negative about the team when they are watching.

Once again, interpret my post as you want, it really doesnt bother me. Dont see myself as any more or any less of a fan than anyone else.

I'm sure there are moaners that go to a lot more games than I do.

Why would I be interested if you're bothered or not, that was never even a consideration when I replied, unless I was being abusive or insulting towards you.

If it were just me that were picking up on your insinuations then I wouldn't be furthering this but other posters are coming to the same conclusion as to what you were implying in your statements.
