The absolute Karen.

I loved Chris Martin, still do and cannot believe he plays for another club.

We are literally scratting about for a striker in the mould of Chris Martin, we will probably pay a decent fee and have to offer decent wages.

If Chris is going mouldy perhaps we were right to offer him the contract we did

We need someone who can play 90 minutes of 90% of the games without seeing a noticeable drop in their performance levels after an hour or so each time.

A replacement could only be 80% as good as Martin, but if an 80% Martin was available and effective for 80% of 90% our games that's better than a 90% Chris Martin only able to be effective for 75% of 60% of our games..

...or something

...maybe

I doubt any new arrival will be given the chance to be an improvement.

Of course he will - any true fan would Get behind our new striker and be a huge fan of anyone scoring goals for us but that doesnt stop those of us  that did always being a huge Chris fan too and wishing things had turned out differently with him part of it.  No different to people who thought Hughes, Bryson, Russell, Vydra, Keogh even Malone shouldnt have gone when they did but have still supported their replacements.  Your comment suggests Chris fans arent Derby fans first and foremost which is daft

Well I can't help what you infer. Given that Te Wierik is already copping flak having replaced nobody in particular, we'll see what happens.
