You know I try to be fair in my comments and I have to point out that I hope you do play like you did last week, because every other referee on the planet would see what everyone impartial fan in the country saw and would have sent the cheating, handballing con man Gayle off and you wouldn't have won leaving us ahead of you in the league. Is that not fair or are you going to convince me he didn't handball it and dive into the goalie?

Yes how terrible. I imagine we would also surround a ref pleading for a red card for handball after the ball hits a goalkeeper’s chest. We won’ t mention disallowing a goal to give a penalty and awarding a penalty for a foul outside of the box as I am sure you came on here to apologise for all three of those events and Bolton magnanimously returned the three points after the game being the doyens of fair play that you clearly are. Bravo!

SOME Wycombe fans (and I stress "some") are now in the stage of trying to justify what Coupiggy is doing:

The difference is "pal", that no other clubs actively did things that jeopardised the survival of Wycombe in the way that their owner has now done to 2 clubs.

    What a t***.

Maybe if they had some fans they could have afforded to employ someone to do that most necessary of tasks that is ‘ripping down curtains’. I don’t know about anyone else but I hate having to do that. I don’t mind drawing them or hanging them but I consider ripping down curtains to be a job you definitely need to employ a specialist for.

    OPENING GAMBIT

If true, and it’s a huge if, on completely non emotional business terms it would be a no brainier. A premier league level training facility for buttons.

In the real world with emotion and passion etc, the optics of this move would be awful. Especially after the whole derby ambulance chasing accusations.

And slightly lower down before I stopped reading….

Let's not forget the abuse we got from Derby fans during the legal case. Their words were mostly unfounded

Where was the legal case against Reading? No? They know exactly what they did and exactly what they are. Or judging by the crap above, maybe they don’t! Anyway, hope they enjoy their new car park. Odious.

  4. 325 left by my reckoning.

I do think our segregation needs looking at though. When you see Arsenal on TV, for example, there is hardly any at all. But then you look at what happened at home to Birmingham…

Maybe if people weren’t k******** that would solve the problem!

  5. We need 5 at the back, a sweeper and 3 defensive midfielders for this one. Port Vale are a really good team and have athletes all over the park and good players at this level. 3 months ago they passed the ball through midfield so we’ll need to avoid that area at all costs. Make it into a battle and get it wide and whip it in for the big man up front. Keep this tight and hope to nick one late on then add another defender. It’s a tough game and they’ll have some fans there so we are probably the underdogs and must approach the game with caution.

I thought that towards the end of his run at LB last season, teams were starting to target him a little bit - stick your best winger on him and force the ball there because you know he's going to get caught out sooner or later.  Overall he did a decent enough job and all that, and I can't fault him for effort or anything, but he's just not experienced enough at the position to deal with a top winger at this level.  You wouldn't want him up against someone like NML for example.  But like I said, Charlton didn't seem to have one of those, so I think he'd have been fine.

Apparently their top winger was CBT and from what I have seen there, I think I could comfortably have played left back last night. Let’s face it, who was clamouring for our best centre back and only asset played at left back so Bradley could lumber around again. I won’t speak for the rest of you but it wasn’t me!

  7. That was utter garbage yet again. It’s totally unwatchable at the moment and it stems from the ludicrous tactics, presuming we have any.

The price of mine and the lad’s season tickets has gone up by 40% and with nights like this, following many more like them, you do begin to wonder if it’s worthwhile.

If Mendez-Laing doesn’t create anything then that’s pretty much that isn’t it. I thought Cashin and Nyambe came out with credit tonight but the rest were ‘meh’ at best and a few were pretty disgraceful. The amount of 50/50 challenges bottled was quite noticeable.

This team is neither good enough for the top two, nor does it have the bottle for the fight of the play offs. I hope I’m wrong, I really do. The manager has come out and said we haven’t played well all season. I agree with him so who is to blame for that then?

What a disappointing week and with Port Vale, who we will no doubt be told are an excellent team with great players for this league, to come it could get even worse if we approach the game with this ridiculous negative and defensive mindset from the start.

  8. I prefer it when we win to be honest.

I thought we were too negative and Collins being absent is clearly a big blow. Luckily the sun was in my eyes for half the game - burning my retinas out might be an option if I have to watch much more of that.

When’s Charlton’s answer to Calvin Plummer going to turn up by the way - did Warne say?

Anyway, onwards and upwards, all to play for. COYR.

£903.75 for me. Daughter turned 13 so hers has gone up quite a bit.

The jump from 12-13 is huge. Pretty much doubles in cost. Factor in matches lost for various unavoidable reasons and looks quite expensive.

Still, watching grown men pretending they have a head injury and goalkeepers collapsing to the ground after they have caught a ball is pretty priceless isn’t it and we’ll be there for more of the same.
