Aren't most football clubs at Championship level and above part of a "flawed unsustainable business structure", propped up by the largesse of their owners? Until they decide to pull the plug - and that's where the current problem in football lies.
Does that mean every CEO is at fault for following the instructions of their owners?
There's one person to blame for the mess at Derby County, and he is no longer owner!
Except Middlesbrough obviously! All their losses, moving funds about and writing off debts is absolutely sustainable because Steve Gibson says so. The rest, yes, but not them. The only thing that has prevented them reaching the riches of the promised land is nasty Derby County buying Martin Waghorn! If it wasn’t for that…doesn’t bear thinking about does it. They could be champions of Europe, just like Leeds.

If it is blocked by the clowns at the EFL then I'd be demanding a full rationale as to why.
- We have whatever we got in the Bird deal
- They were happy enough for us to sign a striker on deadline day
- Presumably Collins' injury is covered by insurance
So, WHAT exactly is the EFL's problem with this? Other than to blatantly screw us over one last time while they can?
Maybe the last part?

He is exactly what we have needed for a considerable length of time. Interviews very well too. What a guy. The impact his presence is having on Bird is also very noticeable. As a team they stood up yesterday and I think Stevenage were a little surprised by how strong we were. Long may it continue. Ebooooooooooo

It was a pretty turgid watch to be honest. Second half was better though. Fantastic goal. We won. All that matters at this point.

I have my own views on Warne but, and I know this sounds a little strange, why don’t we concentrate on what could be an extremely exciting end to the season, in many different ways, and try and enjoy it.
Managers come and managers go but promotion seasons, if this were to be one, don’t happen all that often, so let’s worry about injuries, formations and other results and enjoy the ride. ‘The rest is just pure journalistic speculation’.
Many years ago, at Sheff Utd away, just before Phil Gee scored, I remember news filtering through and the chant ‘Portsmouth are losing’ sung loudly from the away end. Memories. Just saying.

A good win and welcome 3 points. Had the run of the ball a couple of times which was nice for a change and didn’t get anyone sent off despite the ref looking eager to in the first half. Loved Adams’ little celebration after that goalmouth block. I like him - just what we have needed.

Again, only seeing it from one side.
The 3 fouls were fouls, he didn't give the multiple that Collins should have been done for, did a wrestling move on harper at one point, how he wasn't even booked for doing a stone cold stunner ill never know(he smashed it though, pulled it off flawlessly) . Didn't give the city penalty that was a penalty, he clearly was giving nothing to either team unless it was stonewall which is fair enough. NML got booked for kicking the ball away then dissent afterwards. Cashin should have been off, was the last man, booked him instead.
Swings and roundabouts.
With the greatest of respect, you might want to watch the incidents you talk of again, which might not be fully possible as they didn’t really happen. 👍

I thought we were rubbish.
I don’t understand why their defenders were allowed to do what they did from our corners though, with the ref looking straight after them.
Our mentality is becoming a worry for me.
Anyway, win the next ten and we’ll be fine….

So you make the cat have the tap end??
The plughole is in the middle.
And it was a 7. Although had more substance than the rumour that we were actually going to sign a centre forward.

Well at least it wasn't runny this time , can you read it like tea leaves maybe ? ..........Mystic Mog ?
Sadly it was runny. Over the plughole area so the cat’s effort and consideration can’t be faulted. A metaphor for our recruitment team? I couldn’t comment.

For those who have diligently followed this thread, I can advise that my cat hast yet again deposited a steaming turd in the bath. Is it a sign of illness or a critique on our transfer window? Difficult to tell really. What a time to be alive.

This is where our transfer budget went.

To be fair to Bird, he has probably always dreamed of playing in front of 20,000 people…
Bit depressing seeing these smaller clubs taking our youngsters but Bird at least stuck around and didn’t climb out of the window at the first opportunity.
-
My cat has just inexplicably done a runny s*** in the bath. Whilst I realise this isn’t totally related, it has certainly ruined my transfer deadline day. Could be worse though if you think about it. I suggest you all take this philosophical outlook on events today.

Two great goals.
The rest was a pile of s****. We all know it and it really isn’t good enough. We need Forsyth and Nyambe back as soon as possible and the midfield needs addressing urgently.
Curris Davies deserved his warm ovation at the end. What a man.

I am fully expecting us to give him a warm welcome tomorrow by kicking the ball on to his head at every opportunity and at no point considering putting pace up against him to make him look bad. We are very thoughtful like that.

Wouldn’t take it to court knowing they would lose. EFL sanctioned theft. Did they try and take Villa for compensation? Of course not - I wonder why. Such contempt for that hypocritical curly haired t***. What a bunch of Bamfords they are.

The jump from 12-13 is huge. Pretty much doubles in cost. Factor in matches lost for various unavoidable reasons and looks quite expensive.
Still, watching grown men pretending they have a head injury and goalkeepers collapsing to the ground after they have caught a ball is pretty priceless isn’t it and we’ll be there for more of the same.
